Briano
30 pushes you outwards, 40 pushes you inwards 99% sure of this, hyper john put up a sticky on wheel fitting
rpsmith79
Brendan did a sticky in Modifications about offset http://www.celica-club.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/123101-basics-of-wheel-fitments-and-terms/
izzzzythedog
yah , zero would be completely flat to the disk with the entire wheel sticking out , 35 is standard and say 50 would be skimming the suspension leg theres also the thickness of the wheel itself plus the width of the rim ,,,, so a 7 inch width with an offset of say 48 will just about clear wheres an 8 inch will rub

Adex
yah , zero would be completely flat to the disk with the entire wheel sticking out This isn't quite true, as offset is measured from the center-line of the wheel rather than the 'back' edge. badj
This isn't quite true, as offset is measured from the center-line of the wheel rather than the 'back' edge. Correcto, positive offsets are from the centreline towards the wheel face, negative offsets are from the centreline towards the braking side.
