AdyGT
Hi all I'm looking at getting a thatcham cat 2 immobiliser fitted to my car , the company I spoke to this morning will offer me a gemini immobiliser with a key that you push in to a small receiver on the dash this will cost 135 and they may even remove the old scorpion alarm that's on it already that's not working free of charge , this of course depends on if the system is a cat 1 wired into everything . The question is though is this key system ok or do I get the touch fob system where you touch it on a pad on the dash ? I've spoken to two fitters from 2 companies and they both give pros and cons about each so thought I would ask you guys what you think ?
Razorjack
I had an old 'insert key' type thatcham approved immobiliser on my first Nova. It was Ok, but the problem was after a few years the key took a bit of jiggling in the slot to make a good contact.
