I have a bonnet cable mechanism for a GEN 3 if that's of any use?
hi - tracked one down and also have another Toyota one to see how close in length - if it looks good will be an alternative that is more available -
Thanks - that’s useful advice !

I'm assuming the pull handle inside the car wont even budge itself, not the handle loose and not pulling the release?
the latch side is not connected (it's not had a latch for about 8 years!), but the cable will give no movement/slack to reattach it, there is slack on the pull handle inside the car side but cant get that slack through to the latch side.

I used to use one of these on motorcycle control cables
That looks quite useful and even if it doesnt work as too seized a handy tool to have (always good to have more tools!)

thanks, will soak it, its def the cable, but will give it a go before admitting defeat!

Hi, refitting my bonnet latch, to discover the cable seems totally seized. Before trying to find one any handy hints on trying to get it moving again, or is it pretty much junk now if its refusing to budge ?

when I was thinking about a gen 7 all but the very first models were ULEZ friendly. I bought a rav4 mark 2 in the end, as equally a 2001 one was ULEZ friendly, but the very first mark 2s in 2000 werent. Road tax is painful mind!

Digging up an old thread.
What came of this device ?
Unfortunately my spare time disappeared shortly after this thread with my Dad falling ill and Dying leaving me as full time carer for my Mum which only ended earlier this year.
The guy I dont think develops it anymore but still works, fb group link is https://www.facebook.com/groups/1505898572959292/
I have two devices still, I struggled with an android phone I had accessing it a couple of years back and never got round to looking at it again properly but might do now if know what it will run on.
Sorry to hear on what you have needed to deal with, my partner had been a full time carer for her parents until recently, it is such a big responsbility (and unthanked so often).

Hi - I have a spare fuel tank that has been under a tarp outside after I painted the outside . The inside has residue in it from old very stale petrol, plus last tiny bit in it. I want to clean it all out - any thing I should know ? Literally just a hose and car wash and allow to air dry ? Or any kind of proper procedure ?

I have long been behind making better use of both FB and this site. Not going to lie, FB is very frustrating at times, and I don't really post much, but is handy to see quick content, and as a club we shouldn't be afraid of that. This site is the repository of knowledge, meetings, non FB chat etc, and FB would be for showing off pics, instant questions, chat etc. Can be done
Selling is.....easier on FB due to the audience being worldwide. But also risky. Buch of chancers and scammers at times. And get lost with the "PM for price" rubbish. TBH I prefer eBay but get why people use FB (its free).

For me it was suiting a gen 5 but more curious what people thought were good! Three spokes do look good. Think the older the car the smaller the wheel looks best
-
If staying oem for wheels what’s peoples views on best looking ones ?
My view - 205 6 spokes I think.

full system stainless ?

I've only used e10 in the rev (98 but same engine as Celica, same fuel lines, etc) zero issues

EDIT - Just seen you already put that one up! - the below is the manual in one go, but won't add it as your link is better being split up
Just uploaded the 202 manual

Looks like pcloud may do the job.
I've uploaded an ST205 manual to try if someone can try downloading it. I think it pops up an advert to the service with the download.
https://e1.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZWpVLZ2HLAABFqblHujw7SNKE7K0xPbTs7
If it's successful I'll upload all my stuff and put it in stickies in each section.
downloads fine, one pop up when you do but no bother
