  1. Had both and the gen6 wins in all areas bar handling, the gen7 Mac suspension is much better than the Gen 6 Mac The gen7 is noisy inside and riddled with rattles Gen 6 doesn't suffer from rust which would really surprise people, but feel tanks and filler necks are a weak point for sure
  2. Anyone removed these stupid alloy things without a key Seem to be stupid sized torx required which I was told was in the current but turns out it wasn't Really need my wheels and tyres off so I have some decent tyres on the caldina
  3. bought 1996 GT in tropicana in 2008 for £600 then over the next 5 years I spent close to £6k on improving the car only for it to be scrapped this weekend
  4. got my first celica in 2008 and as of this weekend it will be gone to its new owner in car heaven
  5. People have run your engine on throttle bodies and made bug power I agree with Chris though you will loose in another area I fitted full trd super strut suspension to one of my gen6 and lost all the comfort that I loved about the gen6 The st202 is already the best all round coupe that money can buy and the beams is better again............ no need for more power in a beams in my opinion
  6. Does it have the rear arms as I'm sending a pallet down to bek in the next 10 days just waiting on confirmation of a day off
  7. I could lend you some superstrut shocks and springs and also some wheels
  8. Got advised to use plastx or something for gen7 headlights so could be a good option
  9. Gt4 is probably one of the strongest performance cars I have owned. Over 164k on the clock and the only thing stopping me ragging it is the fuel bills
  10. I use a gt4 at present as my daily and I do over 30k a year Fuel isn't that much more expensive than a gt so not much more than a 190 at the end of the day mpg is more how you drive than what you drive I would not recommend a gt4 to someone doing a lot of town driving and store starts. As it gets on my nerves I wouldn't recommend a gen7 either as they are fugly and the interior is not as good quality as the older celicas
  11. Leather is too cold or too hot Alcabtara is more comfortable
  12. Wholly crap wickie the wheel should be fine as the chrono are a hardy rim but that tyre blowing out means it was a bit hole Did you take pictures of the pot hole?
  13. Clean it then lots and lots of elbow grease
  14. I have encountered this a few times and these bolts are on really tight for a good reason I use 2 breaker bars with one on one side leaning om the floor and the I use the other one to loosen the bolt.....sometimes I need a scaffolding pole too
  15. Haha forgot about the handbrake. Maybe since I have hardly had a Celica that the handbrake worked in
  16. This time of year I would take the battery out and store indoors, even disconnected the cold could kill it
  17. Take the battery in the house, I have left cars for much longer and had no issues
  18. Sadly it's not hard to get in, although would be pretty difficult to drive off without alerting someone How you get her locked up an. Secure
  19. Happy Anniversary Briano!

  20. if there where local members near me this would be done, give more space and keep my bills down
  21. I have a gen 6 car cover and bag here
  22. I still say an electrical issue, starter clicking is usually it not getting the correct power It will also click if its not able to spin the flywheel, so possible something is not quite right in there
  23. Front is located with 2 plugs but a gentle pry with a spatchula always works although best to push through from behind The rear just use same spatula and pry it off As for cleaning the gunk comes off alright with a hairdryer
