  1. BBC and Grampian TV in Aberdeen! Here's a footie one as well, seeing as I did it anyway ... Angus
  2. Well, a satellite dish that looks like it's stuck on your car, for a start ... Angus
  3. Two birds, one stone ... Guess who waxed their car today? Next up ... your car beside one of those roadsigns that announces what County you're about to enter (e.g. "Welcome to Nottinghamshire", etc). Any county you like. Could be a whole separate challenge, that ... we could try and get every county in the UK ... or country in Europe ... Angus
  4. Nice one, Celica_Girl! So, a Starbucks or an Artic lorry are where it stands now ... Go on, there must be Starbucks lorries in existence ... wouldn't it be good if someone managed to bring the two threadlets back together again? Bev - I see you're just a wee angel now. You've lived a whole lifetime through your avatars over the last few months. Angus
  5. Have you been at the bottle, Old Red? Angus
  6. Tough - no requests till you get the latest challenge done ... 1. A statue in your home town, 2. Santa's grotto. But seeing as it's an illegal request, I'll post an illegal one of my Euro stash! Angus
  7. That's definitely a train through the door there! Closest I could get. And here's wild coos for Dublet, seeing as I found some on the way home ... Next challenge: somewhere that's 14 miles (or 14 km) from somewhere. (Evidence must be clearly shown on a road-sign.) Angus
  8. Aha! Just nipped over to Hungary, to Toyota Kakuk in Salgótarján - which is/was Indy's local T dealer - with my car the way it looked in 2003 and snapped this one ... Angus
  9. Well, if you like ... I guess there's more chance of the thread motoring along if there's options, eh? Here's a better beachy one anyway ... Alternative challenge: a Celica outside a Premier League (or Premiership) football stadium. Name of the home team to be clearly visible on some sign or something. And Notts Forest's City Ground counts too, cos they should be up there really! Angus
  10. I'm trying to think of a reasonably close-by place to get near enough to the sea so you can see the beach at the same time as the car! This one was taken in Portsoy, but a bit lacking in nice beaches or bays ... Angus
  11. Oh, for goodness sake ... Westminster ... Next - a ship, please. Your car and a ship. A real one. (e.g. you can pretty close to the Cutty Sark if I remember correctly ...) Angus
  12. That's what I was referring to ... Angus
  13. You think so? Here's the new synagogue in Budapest, and that's a bit of my white car there. Also, there was this blue ST parked on the other side of the road ... so the synagogue is there in spirit. And anyway, the request was for a Celica outside a religious building, and this one is. It's just that the building isn't in the picture. Dearie me. Anyway, someone get a decent one ... this was just to fill up some space... Angus
  14. By God, you southerners have got a funny idea of what a whole fish looks like. For future reference: fishes have got HEADS and TAILS. But never mind ... a mangy old mackerel gave me a laugh. Angus
  15. Anyway, turns out we have. Black Dog is the name of an area just north of Bridge Of Don (where this pub is), where the Army chaps go to shoot their guns and wander about playing Commandos. I know because we went there on a Night Exercise when i was a Cadet at school - we got to throw thunderflashes around and shoot bren guns. So ... next up - continuing the biological theme ... a FISH. Your car with a real fish. Or, at a push, outside a fishmongers' shop. Or beside a billboard or sign with a fish on it. Or even with Fish out of Marillion if you're in the Haddington area. As an added challenge, you have to identify what species of fish it is. Angus
  16. In the spirit of exotic cars (wherever that came from), how about a Trabant? And a Hungarian Tescos while you're at it? Angus
  17. Portsoy Open Air Swimming Pool, Aberdeenshire. :hide: I'm not choosing another one ... next swimming pool takes it, I say ... Angus
  18. Stop gurning and go and take a picture of one, then. Just to embarrass Dublet, if nothing else. Angus
  19. I refer my honourable friend to the following evidence in asking him to withdraw his heinous accusation of being off-topic: Craigie responded with a picture of his motor at the Millennium Bridge in Gatesheeed: followed by his suggestion for the next location: It was in this spirit that I decided to deploy my splatter gun by posting pictures of two of my cars at various castles. My addition of the car at the Czech border, on a bridge no less, was posted as I thought it may be of interest to readers. Personally, I think that this thread is an ideal place to include a bit of info about locations - that way we all learn a little something along the way rather than just looking at the pretty pictures like Sun readers, and it'll all be helpful when we get onto Mastermind or the Weakest Link. Given the above evidence, I therefore argue that my suggestion of the next location as being a windmill stands, M'lud. Angus
  20. Mad King Ludwig was the bloke that built it - based the whole thing round Wagnerian operas! He also built a huge acropolis thing near Regensburg - a hall of Germanic Heroes. Superb. Aye, it is a hike to get up there, but deffo worth it, especially if you do the detour round the back as well so you can see the castle from the bridge across the ravine. Angus
  21. Sorry, I was just making up for my crappy Forth Bridge one. Angus
  22. Woo ... I'll hit this one with a big hammer! What about Wurzburg Castle, Germany? Go on, that's my car in the car park! OK, OK. How about Ljubljana Castle in Slovenia? Hmm, not enough castle, eh? OK, here's Somosko Castle, on the Hungary/Slovakia border (car's in Hungary, castle's in Slovakia...): And just as an added bonus, this is Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria up on the hill in this one. This is as close as you can get in the car. The castle from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and countless jigsaw puzzles/chocolate boxes ... Eek ... sorry about the wheels in that last one. Horrid. Now, can I get to choose what's next? I vote for ... a WINDMILL! Angus
  23. I'll just sneak in a picture of the GT4 on a bridge ... ... across the river that forms part of the border between Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Never one to miss a chance to post a pic, me. What's next, Craigie? Angus
