  1. I use regular. I also let my tank run down to warning light every once in a while before refilling. I've done this with every car I've owned. I was told it stops crap and water from building up in the bottom of the tank. I dunno bout how true that is but meh it not much hassle doing it. When I ran a pug i used to let tank run to near empty once every six month or so then fill it up with a premium fuel and add a bottle of redex for fun. I don't think i'll do that with a T Sport, but it made a pug run a lot better.

Nope. Halo plugs had a ring above the center electrode. (Like a halo)

     No longer available.

No longer available... they didn't work any better then.

Why I asked. I not sure if they same part number, but if you type in Celica spark plugs into google. Euro Car Parts offer a set of NGK plugs that look identical to the NGK BK6EQUP. However, if you go through the menu for what cars they fit, they do not fit the Celica... Which, is a bit misleading :)

  3. I went ahead and got a set of NGK BK6EIX, just because they are recommended by Toyota and Lotus for 2ZZ. I think they come out at about £30. Plan to install them next week sometime, after oil and filter change and the low lip that AMS sold me :D

Years ago it was all HALO Spark plugs.

I was curious about those, Other car got NGK BK6EQUP, are they what I think are the Halo plugs?

  4. How often do you change plugs in a 2zz?

I'm coming up to a 100k service, so just getting everything ready and I was just curious. I have never actually change plugs in any car i have owned. It seems 30k is the normal mileage for plugs.

Anyhow, brand I was going to order were NGK BK6E, unless someone as different opinions.

215/40 for optimum acceleration, though wider gap in the arches, speedo out, and little in the way of bump absorption.

205/45 manufacturers choice, and ideal unless fitting wider alloys such as 7.5J or 8J.

215/45 for extra comfort, slightly cheaper than OE, acceleration will be fractionally worse.

225/45 are too big as regards the rolling radius, poor acceleration, plus tram-lining issues.

215/45r17's it is then... my wheel is 17x7j and I don't want to use the low profile 215/40 on fondmetal alloys. Whether their reputation for buckling is true or not that seems to be a bit low for the roads in my area anyway. Same for 225/45 some of the roads here are scraped road surfaces which tramline any type of car regardless of tyres.

Now I just need to find a tyre brand I can afford with decent ratings given I got to get 4 and not forgetting a spare at some point.

I'm on 215/45 but I'm on tte suspension

What are they like? See currently I running 16's 205/50/R16, which are a bit soft. I would assume the wider tyre got better traction but increased noise with the lower wall giving improved feedback... unless you hit a pothole...

  7. Just want to know the difference in characteristics of tyre sizes and what people would recommend.

    215/40/R17

    215/45/R17

    or slightly wider

    225/45/R17

I know the 45's put speedo out within limit

Just curious what people are running on stock suspension setup.

  8. I remember when my old peugeot 206 exhaust fell off (nothing to do with me being a d**khead honest) because it had a triptronic granny gearbox I could select a gear to pull away in and before the computer figured out what was going on and automatically change back to 1st I pretty certain I could fool any noise sensitive camera to take a photo.

I gotta agree with Sly though pops and bangs and I will add mustangs..... just a waste.
