  1. Painted some engine plastics
Maybe I should of used grey primer and not white... They look more pink than red in this picture.

But, this is just the base. Assuming I can pull off what I am going to try with these. Got it to work once so far out of a lot of attempts but running out of time so need to do it this week.
Of course, if it doesn't work then these plastics will be ruined and I will need to buy some more for the next attempt [emoji20]
    Looks good!
But you know you can get red primer right? [emoji14]

Tell you what. My sales meetings are in Peterborough every month. I'll bring it with me when I'm next down; if you PM me your number we will arrange it.
    You're an absolute star mate!
This is why I joined this community, people are so friendly and always help each other out in one way or another [emoji106] I'll PM you my number now :)

  3. I love it; I would be interested to see how it responds. By the way; I have a AEM brand CAI intake hit for mine with the DENSO sensor and old pipercross panel filter if you want it. It's 2nd hand but I never put it on my car; I'd rather help another Celica brother out.

I wouldn't charge you for it.

Well I went out last night and had a fast drive for a bit, lift seemed to respond a bit bitter, but that may have been a placebo because I was excited to drive it [emoji23]

Are you sure mate? That would be awesome!
If so, I'll happily cover postage costs, or I could pick it up if you're not too far away.

That looks really good but be careful.
I did the same thing on a a Hyundai coupe but if there is a lot of rain or deep puddles do what I did and disconnect it from inside the engine bay just in case.

Thanks for the advice mate, I'll definitely keep that in mind! But hopefully we'll have some nice weather for a while! [emoji14]

  4. Looks like an illusion. But the cover makes the filter appear further away from the engine, which is always nice for a RAM .
I know what you mean actually! To help a bit more cold air get to the filter, last night I installed an air duct from the front bumper to just underneath the filter. Not sure how effective it will be, but dedinitely can't hurt [emoji16] IMG_20190627_220351.jpg

  5. Technically not on my Celica (yet), but I've been sanding down my authentic TRD bumper in an effort to make me save some money to get it painted along with my JDM wings.
Also got some goodies to fit to it when it's all done, some absolutely immaculate TRD yellowy-purpley fogs, JDM indicators and a nice (fake) carbon fiber number plate bracket. Can't wait for this all to be painted and fitted!!2e28e38d8caeb6313850aa627861f065.jpgb2525f50b18584162ddbd910ea1fad71.jpg

Yeah, just extended from the standard pump. Was going to fit HIDs so needed them for MOT test but went with LEDs in the end.
Hold up.... You need headlight washer jets to pass an MOT if you have HIDs fitted? I've got the factory spec HID headlights fitted to mine but never knew I would need washers to pass. Got my MOT in a couple of months, so I may swap them out just before if I do need them.

  7. And this is how to get dents out of your roof.... [emoji23] Heated it up with a heat gun and it expands out to the right shape, but when it cools the dent comes back. So I've used a scissor jack, a piece of wood and a microfiber cloth (to spread the load) to keep the roof in under pressure while it cools and hopefully that will get rid of the dent!

I will report back with my results in a while!d4fdda46d6de3a77d2f1d9d322af8588.jpg

Nice, I managed not to buy anything there, which is good for me as I am normally a great believer in retail therapy.
Although this was helped by only bringing about £60 in cash and most of that going on Sausage and Chips

Thanks again for those bits, really appreciate that.

Yeah, I heard the food was expensive and not that great unfortunately. I bought my own because bi know how expensive big shows can be sometimes.

No problems mate, I'd rather someone get some use out of them because they were just doing nothing in a drawer in my shed!

nice mate i did mine like that a few years ago then i opted for full bonnet and scoop which i did myself with my lady
Awesome! How long did it take you to do the whole bonnet?
I was actually quite surprised with how well I managed to wrap it if I'm honest, took about 20 mins and the vinyl I used wasn't even the stuff with the air release channels and it came out damn near perfect on the first try!

I clay barred the whole car today, getting it ready for Silverstone.
Hard work but well worth it when I saw the amount of dirt and grime that I lifted out of the paint.12E3BF1C-8515-4873-B0D3-E3B8BE8E225C.thumb.jpeg.e6f2e3708ce1739fad9273b18f141aff.jpeg
Going to be doing mine on Saturday in preparation for Silverstone, I dread to think what I'm going to get off of my paint!! Out of interest, roughly how long did it take you to do the whole car?

  11. I'm off work ill, but didn't want to waste the day feeling sorry for myself in bed or on the sofa.... So I'm prepping my JDM wings to save some money when I take them to get sprayed [emoji16] next job is the yellow JDM TRD front bumper and then the JDM rear bumper and valance.
Any tips on how to do it faster than by hand would be greatly appreciated! My dad's multitool with sanding pad is rubbish!3f9b0e9c2a41d2044607e0e3014a57bf.jpg

  12. Anyone else got a frozen Celica? Went to take mine out last night and the doors had frozen shut! Had to get in the passenger side and climb over the centre console.

Yepp, my doors were frozen shut too. The ice that formed on the door looked pretty awesome though!5d0ad6a9f31e640ee7e6aecd0de56465.jpg

you need to get yourself on bargain hunt, Dickinson will love you!
I know right, But that's not all! Got a brand new set of MeisterR coilovers for £400, OEM JDM rear bumper with valance for £30, Toyota wind deflectors for £25, OEM JDM wings for a tenner each, TRD wing for £90. Pretty much I just hunt for bargains every day [emoji23]

  14. Fitted my OEM HID headlights that I picked up for £80, a few small scuffs on them, but only really noticeable if you're up close. Also test fitted the OEM TRD front bumper (paid £60 for it!) with the OEM fog lights (paid £10 for them), Can't wait to get it sprayed and fitted properly.
Also finished up the button panel that will control the lighting in several areas of the car.
    Very productive weekend I think :D e9737dbc9518ed4b494f5301cd5afdf9.jpga29887aa4fdfabac5de9ae2d3a86b935.jpg5960a3f62bd05c3c2d1a2972be6e387c.jpg
