The cost of the paint and materials would be £730.64, The cost of the replacement new parts would be approximately £2,972.10, The specialist/sundry charges would be £234.00, and the VAT liability on the total would amount to some £942.75 giving a total repair cost of £5,656.49 including VAT. There is also a recovery charge outstanding, the amount of which is yet to be confirmed. The labour charge is based on 18.5 hours at a rate of £42.00 per hour. PRE-INCIDENT CONDITION The vehicle was found to be in average condition for it's age and type. PRE-INCIDENT VALUE According to the information available to us the vehicle was first registered in Mar 2002. The corresponding Glass's Guide (model code: 6PN6) adjusted retail value for vehicles of this type and age in the February 2018 guide is £1,285.00 at 117000 Miles, trade value is £410.00 and mid value is £847.50. We place the pre-accident value of this particular vehicle at £1,285.00 bearing in mind the condition described herein. We would emphasise that this figure is subject to consideration of the vehicle registration documents, purchase invoice and any relevant service records confirming the recorded mileage and vehicle details as contained in this report. Our valuation is also subject to the usual vehicle checks via H.P.I. And M.I.A.F.T.R. SETTLEMENT We consider that an equitable settlement would be £1,285.00 which represents the pre-accident engineer value of the vehicle of £1,285.00.
