Yeah interesting that I ve noticed too tesco n asdas heavily discount there oils branded n unbranded with almost clockwise regularity just picked up a gallon of fully synth 5w30 for a fiver last week n I've seem em cheaper but you've gotta check what your getting n the prices I am a bit of a cheapskate n I maybe wrong but I'd prefer to change my oil more regularly with a slightly less expensive oil for a similar expenditure although is that a false economy I don't know? I know the recommended spec for our engines isn't that high tech n I presume fully synth will last longer ( I've never known an engine that keeps oil clean as long as mine must b down to previous changes) n I'm guessing good quality filters will help that too n thats what im after now what are those oversized filters you've used sly?
