hmm diesel is very cheap too compared to wd40 and alternatives. may get some and put in a spray bottle.
what makes diesel so good at this sort of stuff?
-
215/45/r17 is what I have on the fronts in rainsport 2's that size works out to be very easily obtainable and cheapish.
-
impact gun works cool.
-
thats a very good deal on the shell stuff.
-
sure , rip it apart , skim the head , reline the bore and over size it , blue print the rest after a gas flow , phat exhaust and air cleaner , LOUD paint job and viola about 190 brake and a bill for 3 grand
sounds like a lot of work and expense for just 190 horses?
-
hmm ts got the A3 spec stuff on it. hmm don't want to risk busted engine for the sake of an extra tenner for shell brand oil. but dunno. have others used triple qx on 2zz-ge engines?
-
hmm going by the price of the stuff its cheap enough to do an oil change every 3k miles.
you using the triple qx 5w-30 or 5w-40?
-
I put Shell helix in mine and 2500 miles later it was black... could just be cleaning off muck from the engine/picking up dirt out of the sump.
I dropped the sump, gave it a clean and put Tripple QX 5w40 fully synth in, not done enough miles to make a comparison though, will let you know in 2200 or so
triple qx any good to use? I thought if its cheap then its gots to be crap?
-
shell helix ultra 5w40 is on eurocarparts for 30 quid, can get the same stuff from carparts for less using saveme75 discount for for around 27ish.

old ones?

Ebc pads?

The lack of midrange! It's like riding my ZXR250C Ninja again where you chase the revs. I guess that's what you get when you collaborate with Yamaha!
well i took my car for a test drive before i bought it and its power delivery was exactly what i was after, wanted a high revving engine with everything at the top end. if i wanted torque i would have gone for a v6 or turbo car or diesel.
anyone who complains about the car lacking in mid range makes me wonder if they just ordered the car from online and never even took it for a test drive.
-
the 190bhp figure is blag, should have been the real power output.
shit sunroof and car has leaks
leathers in the back of the car look fake and not like the front seats
doesnt rev high enough could have done with an extra 800rpm
stupid son of a bitch 6th gear which is like a 5 and a quarter gear.
standard rims needed better quality pain / laquer job.

cool i guess im pretty much sold on the hids-direct kit. will get them in at some point.
-
will have to deffo look into this thread when i get mine purchased. hopefully weather will be good on sunday i planning on doing my rear brakes.

Slybunda, you won't get glaring unless the bulbs aren't sitting right, in which case you'd get a glare even with halogen bulbs. They won't flicker unless there's a fault, and they won't be problematic to install as they're massively easy to fit. Get 4300k or 5000k which are complete stock colours, and you'll have absolutely trouble free HID lighting. Get the ones from HIDs-Direct and you're laughing!
i like the sound of that man, looks like this is something i will go for. i want to prevent dazzling so im guessing i shoudl seal of those holes on the inside of the lights that are for lighting up signs etc.
-
hmm may opt for those ones,
you got a coupon discount for them which is more than 5% off?
-
did you get your kit from hids-direct?
or london colour?
-
i do carry spare bulbs with me the standard halogen ones.
main worry is the HID effecting other electronics. people saying there is radio interfearance, etc.
-
dont get me wrong id like hids, for more brightness, but dunno how to go with it, either purchase 2 kits and keep one spare in the car incase a ballast or bulb busts then do instant swapover. dunno how to deal with it.
-
hmm dazzling issues with these aftermarket HIDS, not a good thing, its just another negative to put me off them.
-
wot happens if i put the stickers onto my fiesta?
-
rag the plugs for too long and you can get issues like them falling apart or the tip snapping off or them being very difficult to remove from the engine.
i used the TRD spec one, denso IK20's they have shorter life span than the original sk20r11, but still specced for 20k miles. considering i do less than 5k a year it will be a few years till i need to change them again.
if i was a high mileage person then i would have stuck to the standard sk20r11 which is rated for 60k miles or gone with the denso tough series of plugs, the VK range which are speeced to over 100k miles.
-
also the NS-2R has 2 compund types with wear rating of 120 and 180 i believe. dunno how much mileage they would last for. wondering if i should put these on the back end of the car?
so how many guys had this problem the weekend ....

I was wondering how my car got dirty, it was clean today when I went to work, come out after at 4:40pm ish and saw the car covered in this dust crap. not happy, cost me £3.50 for a car wash too at tescos. proper pissed now.
