  1. about to change phone too.State of flux! son in denial re laptop. He hasnt lost it. he hasnt got it. he doesnt know where it is. He did borrow it . he doesnt remember giving it back. I think that means he's lost it. or, and here is the last hope, I have just moved and there is a small chanceit may be hiding in a box as he is adamant he did return it. Hey ho.
  2. Halfway there then. May look at re hosting some phone shots but still doesn't solve issue with doing a proper camera shoot as I can't download those here either. Now THAT is a photo challenge!
  3. no software downloads to office computer. Son has lost my laptop. Get out of that without moving! sorry about challenge, tried to be reasonably inclusive.
  4. OK then. As coastal challenges are tricky fior most and as Danny in Leeds wants to play.................................. A pic of your celica with a horseshoe on the bonnet...............................out side a "Three Horseshoes" pub. Now I have Googled that and there are loads of them all over the country, including the one I had my first decent Tetley's in, Headingly, Leeds where I spent my first 6 years. Headingly, not the pub! 3, 2, 1 .....GO!!!!! Have fun. I did.
  5. ok fingers crossed. Bingo well "ish" File size says its 2mb but software is auto reducing them down to 100kb. Hey ho. I will figure one day. Anyway, thanks for the comments chaps they are appreciated as the shot was planned using google earth and map to find the best spot to shoot the lighthouse from. Best light for Brixham harbour obviously dawn as the bay faces east. That is also USUALLY a good time to find a trawler coming or going. My little chuggalug friiend arrived after a mahooosive wait of errrrr 5 minutes. I could see him coming from a bout 2 miles out as I drove into the car park, which as you asked was 5am on the dot after a gorgeous dawn drive along the coast from Torquay. Windows and moonroof wide open, best of the stranglers on moderately high volume and not another soul on the road. Cracking start to a day. It was the only trawler I saw waiting for over an hour for the sun to be in the right spot for the "Rising sun over Celica" shot. The trawlers are all moored up a coupled of hudred yards to the right and it was impossible to get the car anywhere near them yet alone get the lighthouse in too. Any way as this is a spot for peeps that like the odd snap heres a couple more. All care of an old samsung s2 phone. I really do hope to get some "Proper" ones done this summer but a new laptop's out of the question and office software will not accept stuff direct from camera so this will have to do. Sorry.
  6. What a relief and thank you MYK. Now due to son losing my laptop I only have online access at work and I came in this morning to see a dozen new posts on challenge...... I dared not look and have spent the last half hour battling windows 365 new software TRYING to dowscale photo without seeing if I had been pipped at post. Damned Bill gates is reducing pics to 103 kb so you will have to put up with a few thumbnails until I can figure his CRAPPY software out Oh well the expand back up ok if you click on them so I will pop a couple of others up after a cup of tea.
  7. Having checked the weather forecast I shall be winging across the bay to Brixham before breakfast tomorrow Best spot I can find is the car park at the end of Blacckball lane which is just above the outer harbour. The lighthouse may be a bit distant but should just be visible.
  8. Here's a clue for some research. Half of great grandad Porky Joe in 1935....................... I think the website is called "Leodis"
  9. Oh now there's an Idea Danny. A pic of your celi outside of where I was born, went to school, had first Tetleys, or bag of chips..................right up your street!
  10. Yes, I washed the car this morning in readiness! I will be popping over to Brixham tomorrow or Sunday with a view to posting Monday. Unless I am pipped at the post when I shall cry pathetically!
  11. as the old saying goes, if its got tits or tyre's, it'll cost ya! aka in higher echelons, as..... If it flies, floats or F*cks, rent it. Ownership will bankrupt you.. and add coolant, exhaust bung and new radiator to the last estimate!
  12. do invite me to your parents wedding young man !
  13. Right!!!! Just googlemapped it and if you go to the corner of blackball lane if there's a parking spot free..............I can get the lighthouse in across the harbour and pray there's a trawler off to work............now someone will pip me at the post as I can't get there until the weekend bah!
  14. Golden Hind in inner harbour and aerial pic showning lighthouse at end of breakwater at far end of outer harbour. Stick a Celica in the middle of that and what have you got? Wet, very wet!. . .I think the only way to do it would be to find a coast road to the west and have both lighthouse and Trawler in background. Don't thing my phone does F16.................hmph!
  15. In a nutshell no regarding Berry Head, which is the main jobbie that deals with the Channel shipping but there is a baby one at the end of the breakwater but the inner harbour is tight as a ducks botty driving wise and I rarely go there so would have to be a trip on spec early one sunday morning..................
  16. problem is Brixham lighthouse is about 10 feet high up a 200 foot cliff a mile away from the habour. I will need a helipcopter to get all 3 in the same pic! There is a rusted relic at the end of the breakwater though, apart from myself. May give it a shot at the weekend if no one else gets in first.
  17. Hate to disagree with a legend................but I had some 210 paint mixed for my dash and I'm not sure if it was my failure to mist it or whether they forgot the carbon blue chips but if my dash is dark blue I'm a monkey! You do get a blue haze on a sunny day but that is from the chips, I believe. Grey days and Black is Black.
  18. For various reasond Betty had a trip to Mr T's workshops yesterday. her nose is fixed but she is still wetting the carpet. However when I came to pay the nice lady said "Ah, that's your black Celica is it? Nice condition!" " Yes they have done a saftey check and errr, new tyres, brakes shocks, well it passed with flying colours, oil and everything else looks fresh too" aka Damn swine no work for us!!!! "Have you considered a GT86 Sir?" "Yes thanks. I don't want a slower car." Oh it's a TSport? What have you done to it. did you go to jap fest etc. She's worked there 20 years and knows her cars. Just nice for a knowledgeable non club member to give it the nod. That's all.
  19. Oh my....................... Looking worrying comfortable there Ms Planc!
  20. Me too. The only reason my passenger seat carries an interesting aroma is that's where I put my fish and chips!
  21. Looks like a win to me. I had half a chance there, but the chain to my desk is too short and to be honest the slips into Torquay harbour were designed for DDay embarcation not poofy celicas.
  22. Yeah Celicas have Audi build quality eh Gerraint Oh and Big man, the Gen 7 is the most fun car I can get my fishing kit for a weekend in. No room for train sets, nor desire
  23. depends whether you brake with your bum I guess?
  24. Must come with squeaky bum audio track!
