  1. Very true!

That said, I've seen a few Honda Civics (not the new one, the one before) with 4300K HID's in reflector housing, and they looked absolutely fantastic. They were probably designed to have them from the start, so the reflector would work well with it.

    If you're getting HID's for your 4x4, I'd get 4300k's - it's what I have and trust me they're not yellow at all! :)

HI its all ready got them in and yep thy are 4300k and yep it looks great with LED sidelights as well. with the front end stance on the thing along with the Massive bull bar (Ilegal for newer vehicles then) its got a lovelly look with the lights on.

Having just had my quote for next monthand talking to Neil from Greenlight any mod is ok as long as i dont gain 180bhp, i am sure he will come along and correct me but all teh stuff i have on the truck and the celica is covered.

  2. Well as stated above i have HID's in both my cars now and well unless someone makes me take them out i will be leaving them in. As for the beam scatter the new cars with the official OEM HID's are just as damn blinding as the ones with Reflectors. Was minding my own buisness the other day and the F**king great Merc came stonking out of know where with his DRL's on his HID;s on and could i see where i was going Could I FK.

HID's are here to stay unless they make them illegal me thinks.

Also i dont have them fro hooning around in the dark that is way to bad, i just like the pure white light that they give off, looks far better than the yellow that you get from normal bulbs.

  3. How are they seriously going to Police this one?

OK you might have to change to normal Bulbs for your MOT but come on how many cars are now running HID's and how many police do we have on the Roads not.

I recently put them into My Gen 6 and tbh pointed at the garage door there was hardly any diffrence in the pattern compaired to normal bulbs. I have them in my Surf as well and yes i have to admit that a 6" lift on the beast does put them directly at any ar thats been lowered.

  4. I was always told by My Dad (yeeee when i was living at home) never use penetrating oil on locks as it causes issues further up the road.

We had god knows how many arguments we had about this as every year my Mini locks would stop working, until one year the smart ass put some light weight oil (like the stuff you put into Stromberg carbs) into the lock, from that day on it never failed and i have always put grease or lightweight oil into mine.

TBH its all a matter of personal choice.

  5. Hey guys

finally got my hands on the BR racing wheels in my mates lockup and thought wow these would look good cleaned up and put onto my Celica, however while cleaning the first wheel i found a dint in the wheel and was wondering if they are worth saving.

2 out of the 4 wheels have the center piece missing and have got curbing, however one of the wheels has a largish dent in it, hopefully you can see this from the photos.

    Thanks in advance of comments.

  6. Have to agree with this one, lots of people panic in this weather and instead of actually plan what your going to do they make sudden stupud moves that cause accidents, these are the people that make a mess of your beloved car.

It's just not worth the risk IMO, even if you have winter tyres on your own car, it only takes one idiot who hasn't to crash into your car, and since most of our cars on getting on these days (Gen 6 and older) most would end up getting written off for minor damage)
