  1. Happy 2 Anniversary Jay_28!

  2. Good point Dan, don't get me wrong I'm already missing my t sport and to be honest I wish I kept it aswell as the VAG Diesel But yes high revving machine is what I miss on open country roads, I also have my eye on a DC2 as we speak lol
  3. When I had my gen 7 things I hated were complete lack of torque and shoody brakes they were my only two gripes Now in the world of TDI I know why now almost all manufacturers opt for forced induction be it charger or turbo just = effortless drive through more torque when u need it most I.e. Overtaking, something you have to plan months in advanced in the gen 7 Don't get me wrong it was a good Car but it could have been a great car All they needed were; pot piston brakes, factory fitted turbo/charger, cruise control, heated seats and a good gearbox ratios Had this been done the residual values would be much higher and it would be a sort after commodity My 2pence worth
  4. So to beat an ep3 you will really need Limited slip diff Lightened flywheel Engine polybushes to keep it composed Light weight driver lol Sub 13 stone No alloys (this would reduce weight) strip interior Basically heard a 190 will outdo a ep3 if lightened. Sports m v ep3 would b interesting lol
  5. R.I.P 2ZZR.I.P K20 Enjoy the last of n/a high revving engines and take pleasure in knowing that you were the last to experience them in their true form The future is green, the future is eco friendly
  6. What is Toyota's answer to this? Hopefully they will get guts to bring out a turbo Gt86 or better still a new celica gt4.... Il keep dreaming lol
  7. Every manufacturer is utilising turbo technology now. It's the way forward lol Hmmm I wonder if it will be a two dimensional engine? Turbo at low end revs followed by vtec yo!
  8. Lol, each to their I guess, we all have different tastes but I highly doubt the teg will blow this 2.0litre turbo type r out of the water
  9. interesting that the civic lacks in some areas though No TRC No VSC No climate control No side airbags *Seems celica is more safety orientated not a bag thing* Plus points for civic Seats look more comfortable and better (not sure about driving position) Gear shifter Better stance on stock Personally speaking id love one BUT not worth the extra cost in my opinion for what you get.... However in years to come i will DEFFO be looking at getting this 280bhp beast! It apparently will have very accessible torque low down... Jst what the doctor ordered
  10. Nah not leaving mate, spent to much time money and effort to depart these shores lol But just wanna test drive one so I can say I've driven one and had the experience However when the 2015 New type Type R is released which looks mighty impressive at 280bhp with turbo then yes I want one over the celica!! If you ain't seen it get googling
  11. I won't lie I really like the ep3 it's gearbox being the strong point as opposed to the celicas notchy box, bushes and short shifter only help to a degree Also vtec kicks in at 5,700rpm vs lift at 6,200rpm, plus vtec has bigger range than lift Im thinking to go test drive an ep3
  12. What even in my case? With full suspension polybushes, lowered and uprated anti roll bar?
  13. As per title; Celica T sport with stage 2 cams vs Honda civic type R (EP3).... Hmm civic has better gearbox and 200cc bigger engine, does civic have vsc, esc?? Who would win?? Thoughts/experiences/opinions appreciated
  14. Lol we all start somewhere mate, ud be surprised just how simple a service is and how much people pay! Watch some YouTube videos get a couple of mates round and give it a go, oil, plugs and air filter easiest jobs ever!
  15. I will never ever buy a Car from the Audi vw group and it's exactly that kinda customer service makes me realise why I wouldn't go there Example 1. VW - We don't want you buying discs elsewheres for cheaper so we won't give you the disc size we are not allowed to give out that information LOL Example 2. Toyota - we can email you diagrams and part numbers so we can both be sure you get the right part I find Toyota open and transparent in that sense its for this reason I will remain a customer for a long time coming As for VW I could put in a complaint to trading standards or go through a freedom of information request lol couldn't be asked instead spoke to eurocarparts and a chap there gave me their part numbers How silly Scotty why you want a service plan dude? Piece of cake to do yourself All I'd get is a halfords professional tool set, Jack and stands then you can service for a lifetime, lifetime plan
  16. Lol, have decided to try and bought a Set of HEL lines from a reputable seller Freakyparts
  17. My local Toyota joint is brilliant! Theres one oriental chap who works there and anytime I ring he is always on the ball and knows what I'm talking about, even emails me diagrams and part numbers if he is not 100% but he always appears to be correct, I was told he has been with the company for years and it shows with his knowledge, Now that's what I call customer service Vast comparison to VW who won't even tell you the part number or size of a brake disc in fear that you will buy it elsewheres cheaper, they even said that on the phone. Now that's terrible
  18. I got kyb gas shocks with apex springs fitted feels excellent love it Enemysoil also went on my recommendation Ssearch eBay thoroughly there is one seller doing it for cheap
  19. good point if one were to fit a new oem rubber hose vs a new steel braided hose would pedal feel be similar?
  20. As per title I hear the rubber oem brake line is superior to that of a stainless steel braided brake hose... Any thoughts or opinions please from those running braided hoses
  21. Exactly the reason I wish they'd have put heated leathers in the gen 7! Is this somethin that can b added??
  22. Does eurocarparts coolant have the primary agent that's found in Toyota's coolant?? Can someone plz answer how exactly they differ and why you should buy the Toyota one other than the reason it has a Toyota label on it After all do you use other engine oil other than Toyota engine? Do you use gear oil other than Toyota gear oil? Do you use power steering fluid other than Toyota power steering fluid? Why does the same not apply to coolant? Or are we merely buying just cause packet says 'toyota'??
