i got not very far into it, battery ran out but progress was made on the 4 pipes of the intake, 2 of those shined up to mirror like fairly quickly but the cover itself taking ages. will continue another day. but those foam pads dont seem to cut it. need something more abrasive.
shine is so much the camera phone cant handle it lol.
yes the cover will as it took me 8 hours by hand without a machine , i started with 240 /400/600/800/1000/1200/1500/2000 and finally finsihed with 2500 then autosol
also did you do one way either left to right or up and down as it was suggested to me if you do it different ways it will scratch the cover and not look so good plus i found very superfine wirewool helped too the finest you can buy , the top pic is after 5 years :
then you should end up with something like this

cool, can it do the engine valve cover and intake manifold too to make it like yours?
unfortunately that took 12 hrs by hand using different grades of wet n dry paper, the compound as a lubricant and autosol for polishing , it wont work with the foam pads VVTI tried it and only got so far ..

did it the same way with the same attachment to mine too
and my ladies astra which was very bad for the MOT but i had to use 600 /1200 wet and dry for hers :

If ordering from eBay as a lot are referring to they are not always legal plates the plate must comply with and have the BS mark on them to confirm they comply with - BS AU 145 D and as previously mentioned the name and postcode of the supplier, if not you can be pulled over and fined for having illegal plates which is becoming very common in the UK, Bristol officially being the worst place for being caught for illegal license plates.
I am also aware a Lot of places don’t request documents but someone can have a plate made and just fit it when they intend to speed with no repercussion to them, how would you feel knowing that happened to you because someone made plates for your car without checking the documents?
just as i know recently was pulled over to hear that the copper said my rear plate was a illegal plate and i virtually had to agree with him to stop getting a £100 fine .... yet they had been on the car 5 years and went through every mot
