  1. If you've got a sensor on the way out, O2 for example, the car will keep reading the weird codes for a wee while before it goes "aye, sod this for a game of soldiers" Check any codes first would be my advice and if your lambda is more than ten years old it's probably not a bad time to replace it anyway. 2. Its a Power FC on a 140 Gen 7 with a Pipercross panel filter and a Powerflo Exhaust. Nothing too complex as yet but I have a NOS kit for this summer and intentions of boost in the next couple of years so I need a tuner I am happy with.
  3. Well the garage gas a sign up saying 100% satisfaction guaranteed so I'll be testing that I think Spelling errors caused by me not giving a toss
  4. Just need to get this off my chest for the moment I got the Apex'i tuned a couple of weeks ago and apparently it was a bit all over the place. It was definitely running far too rich on WOT at 10.1. Fine, it was good to have a bit of confidence in the tune on the ECU but then it started cutting out when warm but not hot. However the AFR meter had nice stable 14.7 readings on an even pedal which showed me that it was running fine on closed loop. So, back to the tuner who says that for some reason it started going really lean between 50 and 60 degrees, which he says he fixed. He also noted the oxygen sensor was a bit sluggish, and at 130K miles old I figured I should change it anyway. So I did that (thanks ams) and the car stopped cutting out - hooray! So the car is actually running great, compared to before the initial tune I can feel a smoother power delivery (I'm not going to pretend I felt every BHP extra as I'm not Lewis Hamilton!) but the AFR meter is now a bit erratic. I think the 10.1 AFR readings at WOT had clogged it up a bit so I replaced the sensor as well today, only to find it is actually either running rich or it is the meter itself which is goosed. So I'm away back to the tuner later this week to get it booked back in to get checked out. i'm starting to get a little bit peeved as you can imagine!!!! Anyway, thanks for listening, I do feel better now and I'm away to get my medication!
  5. New wideband sensor. Now we'll see what's happening with this latest Apexi tune. Spelling errors caused by me not giving a toss

  13. Happy 3 Anniversary Scottish Storm!

  14. I know this might be a fairly subjective thing but is there a recommended set of HID lights for the Gen 7? I am finding in my dotage that the lights just aren't quite bright enough. How the hell I coped with the rubbish headlights that were in the cars I used to run around in as a kid I have no clue. Probably a heady mixture of youth and stupidity
  15. Brass gear linkage bushes - bought on Fleabay but it looks like they came from AMS
  16. I was surprised at the lack of power in the Lexus Dan, I have to admit.
  17. But didn't. I was looking at a white Lexus IS200 Sport as I fancied six cylinders and RWD again but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I've poured too much blood sweat and beers into the Gen 7 and there's still loads to go so I'll be around for a while yet
  18. Short shifter from yesterday and Japspeed manifold today. I'll have nothing for Christmas at this rate! Lol
  19. It's here. And I'm off tomorrow. Fingers crossed I can get it fitted.
  20. NOT the AFR gauge I was told would be here last Thursday
  21. I suppose I'd better start a build thread soon.
  22. Still a couple of nuts short as they missed part if the order! Booger!
