  1. I've got a spare rocker cover on its way and I'm going to polish it to gt a nice mirror finish, is there anything I can do to protect it so it doesn't start looking crap again?
  2. I'll order one of them because I'm not putting my wheels on for another week or so but good tip with the tape
  3. Spot on mate!!! That's the kind of thing I was looking for!!! :-) Will that fit my wheel nuts?
  4. I've just refurbed some gen 7 alloys and I really don't want to scratch the paint when tightening up the wheel nuts! I don't want to use tuner nuts so has anyone got any tips?
  5. Well I'll be in touch soon mate! I'm trying to find a decent gt at the moment but I do want to keep my wheels! And a brew and a biscuit while I wait sounds good to me lol
  6. I might do that! And your not far from me! How much do you charge? Turns out both my fronts are buckled so I've put them on the back for now.
  7. Right here's the story! While I've had my st it's failed both mots it's been for! 1st one was original cat had failed, got a new one fitted and it passed. 2nd one was the new eurocarparts cat had failed! Thankfully it was under warranty and I had it swapped for a new one and got that garage to do the mot, and it passed. After the new cat was fitted my car seemed quieter and smoother, but then it went back to the usual sound of the exhaust and now I'm just worried there's something making the cat fail!? What are my options to find out what, if anything is wrong? And what could it be? I was going to get it terracleaned and then a new catback fitted with a new cat and then run it on vpower and use a bottle of cataclean every couple of months. What do you guys think??
  8. Just thinking! My tyres are new so if I get some wheels I would want to fit the tyres. There 215/40/17 so would they fit any 17" wheels?
  9. I'm just going to put it on the back for now and look for new wheels plus I'm looking for a new car so might not have it much longer
  10. Different wheel :-( it's the original alloy off the car, I'll try it on the back then at least it will be better steering.
  11. Went to get my front wheels balanced because the steering wheel was shaking at 70 and turns out the passenger side alloy is buckled! I know exactly where and when this happened as well, bloody roads!!!!! Anyway my question is if I swap it with the back passenger side wheel will I feel it as much? It doesn't feel great when cornering or changing lanes so thought I wouldn't feel it if it was on the back?
  12. Nice one mate! How did you straighten out in the end?
  13. Yeah you could try a bit of heat an mould back into shape
  14. What's happened has it squashed in or twisted? Can't really make it out
  15. You got a good deal there mate nice one. As for fixing I'm guessing fibreglass and some body filler
  16. Happy Anniversary matt1280!

  17. The start of adding small gold bits to under the bonnet
  18. Well mine will be up in bowness this weekend but I've never seen another one up there! And I'd say Warrington is gen 7 capital, there's loads of the things! Plus a gen 7 gt at the top of my road
  19. So it's all sorted the rattle now? Mine knock as well when I brake which annoys me!
  20. That's a great help mate thank you! Never heard of that place before but they seem to have everything at really good prices!!!! :-)
  21. Has anyone got any tips or ideas of how to stop brake pad rattle? It's on my gen 6 rear calipers, both sides! When I put copper grease on the edges it stops it for a few days but soon returns. The pads move around in the metal pad retaining clip things. It's doing my head in now
  22. Didn't know you could buy anything like that, I'll have to get some when I next refurb my wheels
  23. I've had the seal kits from both places and they seemed exactly the same quality
