As you are (mostly) all aware I replaced my engine not so long ago, no problems except the minor coolant issue which hopefully will get sorted on Saturday when I have time to get to Toyota and buy the Red stuff! The engine management light came on after the new engine was installed as I'll be honest I expected...then it went off...sorted I thought. MrBee then drove it and the light came back on. Then off again (you get the point) he drove it again last night and the feckin light has come back.....he assures me he is not driving any different to how I would (he is in doghouse anyway because I was in a mood this morning!) Any ideas? should I worry about it or just leave it to its funny ol ways? (the car/light not MrBee)

might just change mine for the trip through france then.....simples

Thanks I think that sounds about right. There's definitely no leaking I checked today so I'm gonna order some Toyota coolant as mentioned above and hope that solves it. off to get the coolant from the toyota place in romford hopefully all will be sorted by end of the day

Yeah so did I until I googled and apparently I should be using red I don't know why its using so much never had that happen before....not overheating and heaters working fine (if not a little overworked to it being freezing cold last couple of days lol) suppose i'll have to get in there tomorrow and have a good look

Maybe a daft question but I'm gonna ask it anyway so dont lynch me please lol! Basically when we swapped the engines I put the pink coolant in from Halfrauds but the car is literally drinking it like theres no tomorrow!!!!! Going to change to red coolant do you think this will make a difference? also what exactly is the difference (because I dont know) and where can I buy the red one from I'm panicking that I've wrecked the car now by using the pink coolant.......have I? please tell me I havent!

sorry mate! cant stand people who just because they've got a crappy car/van think its ok to treat others pride and joys as if they dont matter. hope you get it sorted soon. probably did it and then parked somewhere else so you didnt know it was them makes me so mad grrrrrr

Hi all, More advice please. Inside of my car has been carbon wrapped and its bubbling around the heating controls so its annoying me. How do I remove it? Its not particularly a colour I would want the inside of my car to be either lol. I'm just wondering if its simple to get off ? Any tips/advice please? Cheers

I read that very wrong at first :laugh2: :laugh2: Yeah would be a better option but my stripped alloys wont survive the winter I'm still trying to decide cant even make my mind up on 16's or 17's will be lowering the car and a little worried about ride comfort too many bloody decisions........my head hurts

Hi Whats good tyre-wise? I'll be honest and say I'm a complete noob when it comes to tyres and since I'm going to buy some Alloys today I need to know what tyres I should be looking to get for best handling. I'm thinking of going to a 17" Alloy (currently on 16's). I dont even know if I should think about getting winter tyres for now and then get other tyres next year What sort of names are good and is it worth getting winter tyres? and just to note funds are limited so a mid range tyre thats no more than £80 each please Thanks! any and all help appreciated Also sorry if this has been posted a few times before? I had a look through and couldnt see anything in particular
