Regular rattle can is good for 2-250 temps which is well with in the limits the rocker cover gets.
I have always used it for my rocker covers and head no problems at all.

Yeah. I think Iain (black knight) may of ended up with some sprayed over the bonnet of the beams , i think my ringland happened the day we went to ace cafe , and being a faff driver , there was lots of 'take some of that beamsy' on the way home pmsl

I also found mine in the hot side of the turbo and exhaust. Not has bad as Ian's.

Any how we where talking about the car, ( my gen 5 with castrol decals ) and he said how nice the car was and he don't see any of them around
He then said i bet she will pick her feet up won't she.
My reply was yeah she gets up to 60 quite quickly, lol.
He says good answer but i bet it's a lot more than that with a big grin across his face, Me, No comment lol

Even if it's metallic it will need flatting back especially if it has orange peel effect, You could get a real nice shine on the lacquer but still see the effect through it.

When doing the base coat use plenty of water and light rubbing, All you are doing is flattening it back,
Same when doing the lacquer before compounding and polishing,

Yes mate with 2000 or higher grit plenty of clean water.
Then again after the lacquer.

Around 250 mate.
Unless you wont to spend a day down hear mate and ile do it for you then it will only cost you parts.
Depending how quick you need it doing.
