  1. Yeah its got be baffled too, thinking fuel pump or a relay but cant get it to the garage for them to have a look see

If it was fuel pump youd have no fuel at the engine end certainly not enough to smell it. Although if you have fuel and spark you should have bang regardless. Is the spark a large arc?

  2. With the Gen 6 it's very simple, supply and demand.

    Supply: Shit loads, thousands.

Demand: Low. High insurance, high road tax, high fuel use in traffic, most people don't realise that you can get parts off breakers so they assume repairs and maintenance is high (it would be if there wasn't breakers/specialists to do servicing and so on).

Plus, a lot of 6's have been subjected to poor servicing, lack of care for bodywork, suffer with common issues like rusty doors. These all add up and put people off a purchase. Oh and they're 'impractible' for people with kids and/or a need for lots of room in the rear seats. The list goes on.

    +1 that is all

  3. Handling and/or power delivery although more handling

As IMO very few people can get the most out of their stock setup never mind a heavily tuned one.

I once spoke to a race engine builder/tuner and as he said most road engines he built were for pub talk as the owners weren't capable of using even 25% of what the engine could produce.
