I go to nightclubs even less than I go to McDonald's these days!
-
If you reach the window and then take a selfie showing the car behind through the rear windscreen would that count??
-
Challenge said you had to be at the window?
-
This is doable. As said you need a passenger to get the pic as getting out of the car while at the window would be difficult!
Or.....you could get the member of staff who serves you to take it???
-
He's gone fishing.

Yey, nice one!

On your Tsport wheels you might be better switching to 215/45/17 if changing all 4 at once. I plan to do this as there is more choice in that size and they are actually cheaper than the standard 205's.
Camskill currently have the goodyears at £86, the uniroyals at £66 and slightly cheaper but still often recommended the falken 914 at £63 a corner. I wouldn't look at anything less than that really.
I have Toyo t1r's on my mr2 and they are great but I only ever use it when it's dry and sunny so can't comment on their poor weather performance.

That will do nicely.
Next challenge??

Oil refinery?
As I was taking this pic an official looking bloke in a white van approached me enquiring why exactly I was there. When I explained about the photo challenge he seemed okay that I wasn't an international terrorist. A nerdy weirdo maybe but I can live with that!
So if that will do, the next challenge is your celica in a park or woodland.
Just watch out for the park keeper..

I managed to set off a car alarm the other week by just driving by, and my exhaust is standard! It was quite satisfying really.
Still love the 7 and it does get some attention especially when it's all polished up and gleaming. Earlier today I was passing a local garage and noticed they had a type r (fn2) and a focus st2 both priced at 7500 so I thought I would have a look and sit in them. Sure they are quicker and better to drive but both left me a bit cold, especially the focus which felt like sitting in a 1.6 zetec. I turned back and looked at my celi and just thought it looks like twice the car at a third of the price.

Sounds like most people have spent way less than the cost of a new fiesta.
Well, apart from splinter maybe...

You need to check if 10% discount actually makes them cheaper than elsewhere. I doubt it really and you would have much more choice with sites like camskill etc.
If changing all 4 you might consider going 215/45/17 which gives a slightly better ride and more rim protection. They're cheaper too as its a more popular size.
I have the kumho k39's like J03 and they are great for the money. Some issues with tram lining especially in cold weather but they grip well in most situations and mine are lasting well too. If you want premium most seem to recommend Goodyear eagle's. The michelins are no doubt good tyres too, I had pilot sports on my old puma and they were brilliant. It only had 15 inch wheels though so premium tyres were still not too expensive.

Another vote for kurust here. For small chips just give them a good clean, put a bit of kurust on with a little artists brush and then you can just paint over them with a touch up pen.
-
I was also thinking 215/45/17 would be better. It's quite a common size so tyres are cheaper and you get more choice.

Also worth keeping in mind that chips away is just a franchise so it's entirely dependent on the individual running that outfit. One could be great and another crap. Best to go on recommendation for bodywork repairs. My gf recently had her drivers side door bent when someone reversed into it. We got it repaired and resprayed at a local bodyshop that friends of ours have used and they did a brilliant job.

Horrible thing to happen.
And I think it's beyond the joke that we pay such big premiums for insurance and then feel that we daren't even claim when we need to.
Shocking. Makes you wonder who the worst criminals are, the arseholes who did it or the insurance companies who force you into paying for it yourself.

Are you in a position to have both the 7 as a daily and a GT4 as a fun car?
If so then that's the best way to do it. I just bought an MR2 roadster because I've always wanted a soft top and like you, I think life is too short not to have the things you really want if you're in a position to do so. It just wouldn't work for me as a daily drive so I decided to keep my 7 as well. The main benefit is having the choice of 2 very different cars to drive whenever I want which is great. Also the mileage on my 7 won't increase as much because I'll be using the MR2 quite a bit in the summer. As the MR2 is a bit more economical it might even save me a few quid in petrol over the year as well.
So if you could run both you would probably be saving a grand a year in fuel based on dubs figures. That could pay for your insurance and tax so in theory it shouldn't be much more expensive. And when you go out in the morning you get to decide which car to take!
I'm working on my partner to swap her crappy Hyundai for a 'rolla' SR diesel so we have a nice little fleet!!

I always liked the honda vtecs just as much as the vvtli. To me the idea of a car you can drive normally everyday with good economy but will go like stink if you rev is perfect. Turbos spoil the fun in the same way as diesel does IMO. I like my performance accompanied by wailing banshees!

Does the GT86 rev high?
Most performance cars these days need a turbo because they are so heavy.

When i take my car to Toyota they seem to put more effort into trying to flog me the new GT86 than they do servicing the car. And are very quick to say how much better it is than the celica (cheek!) and then target me with VIP events for it for months after. They don't seem to have much appreciation for her.
I would hope the GT86 is better than the celica....
GT86 = 25k
Celica T sport = 2.5k
Not very fair comparison really.

I've never had any luck asking for parts at my local Mr T. The waiting area is always full of old people having coffee whilst their yaris/auris/avensis is being serviced. It seems like if your car is over 3 years old they're just not interested and have no idea.
-
Yep, pretty much.
Sorry that was in answer to foogles.
No the car will handle absolutely fine. Don't ask me how it works but it must do. If it worries you then you can always buy a directional tyre like the toyo t1r.
-
I think they know what you mean. But it's fine, as long as the 'outside' label is on the outside. The tread pattern will run the other way but there's nothing wrong with it or they wouldn't make them like that.

I've never understood the fuel efficiency thing.
Surely the only way to make a tyre more fuel efficient is to make it less grippy??!
