  1. I'm considering getting some Uniroyal Rainsport 3's in 215/45/17 but I don't know if I need the XL versions or not. Usually I'd just get the standard ones but the XL ones have a fuel efficiency of C while the others have E. Any advice would be appreciated.

Also has anybody got any experience with Nexen SU1's?

  2. +1 valance

Reason being is if you get a valance when your exhaust is the normal length it hides underneath your Valance and looks abit naff. So then you end up paying extra to have it's length increased or buy a different tip.

  3. I have the car back and the valance is on. It looks amazing. Even my mum commented on the look and she doesn't notice a thing when it comes to cars lol.

The body shop said he's really happy with how it turned out and it was relatively easy to work with. Great product. The seal goes on both sides and finishes it off perfectly.

I'll be uploading pictures to my mod thread soon. I'll have to polish the whole car a few times but I should probably wait a few weeks for the paint to cure properly.

  4. I'm not saying your replica is flawed, your reading it wrong Ray. MYK had already mentioned what the issue might be. I agreed that was probably it. My review is based on my experience. As a bit of advice it might be nice to inform anyone who buys the valance of the part number if they want the seal as well that's all.

As somebody who doesn't know too much about body parts you can't expect me to figure out I can get an original seal from Toyota (or that I might even need one for a nice finish).

  5. I decided to order one of Rays replicas because I read it's one of the best and his service is professional too. I've been in touch with Ray about a few topics over the last couple years and haven't had an issue.

The valance was delivered on time to the bodyshop in great condition. My cars still there having it fitted and it looks good to me. The person at the bodyshop did point out a few flaws where it would require a little work so I was a little disappointed but as it's a replica I suppose it's to be expected. He said it would need about an hour on each side to fill the gaps between the valance and the bumper. It's not too much of an issue if your bodyshop does the job at a fair price but I can imagine it being a problem for some if they get it fitted at a bodyshop who charge more for fitting.

It's worth pointing out that most body shops might just spray and bond it to the bumper but I've been advised this isn't best practise as it might move over time. The place I've taken it to said he will mount some fiberglass behind each side and screw it into the inside of the bumper so it stays putt.

All in all I'd say it's worth the money but keep in mind that it's not perfect (or at least mine wasnt).

    Thanks again Ray
