Anyone heard from ant ? He's not replied for 48 hours. I'm worried the old dude has actually kicked his ass and taken his car.
If anyone sees a really old bloke driving a yellow celica around Yorkshire please stop him :-)

Admit it ant, you thought about kicking his ass but then wondered if he was an 85 year ex royal marine and it would have been hard to admit a 85 year old smashed your car and kicked your ass :-)Neighbour is an 85 year old Victor Meldrew type. To give him his due he came round with his bow saw so we could cut it up and move it. He was also happy for me to get a quote for repair. He has been arse in the past and a younger me would have got a full quote for a buff/respray, but I've mellowed in my old age so told him to forget about it once I realised I could buff out the marks.
P.s is that the most Bush you had in the back of your car for a while !?!?!

Do you have any contact with a Toyota dealer? My local dealer has a dent repair man and a smart repair man for chips on call - mainly for the secondhand side of the business - but they have done various bits of work for me on the Celica and other cars, and if the dealer is using them, you've got a reasonable chance they'll do a good job.
My mate does smart repairs but as described above, he doesn't advertise or do it at peoples homes he gets called by the car dealerships. Even brand new cars come off the lorry with a few dents. He has to be good otherwise they won't call him again... situation described above is a good shout

F1 alloys in chester just started doing it but I'm afraid that's not near bristol either

I hate stories like this.
A few years back my mates dad looked out of his window to see 2 lads slicing the roof on his MX5, he opened the door and shouted at them and they told him to go back inside they only wanted his cigs !
£300 roof slashed for £3 pack of cigs
Anyone who damages someone else's property intentionally should go to prison no questions asked. Or cut there hands off.. either is fine

I can see the logic of front only, I've only twice been stuck in the snow, both times I was attempting to go up a hill and the wheels simply didn't get traction, logically if I'd had winter tyres and thus greater traction on the front I should have been in a better situation.
That said, the right answer (funds allowing) must be all 4. Front for traction and steering, rear to avoid sliding out when cornering
But, on a limited budged I'd go fronts, no point in worrying about the back end sliding if you can get moving in the first place

I had a toad cat on my old rover coupe. No fancy features but met thatcham standards and cost half what a Clifford does

I was looking at that one the other day gimba, is it as nav size so needs to be plugged in and out every time your go for a drive ?

The Volvo was on my list too, like the early BMW's the engine had a major flaw.
I drove a few and they were nice to driver if a bit dull.
I struggled to find one which wasn't covered in dents though... don't think Volvo drivers can park.
I did find one nice one but it smelt like a mixture of old peoples home and dog kennel :-)

I like the E46 BMW 320d and it seems to be getting better value now. Or maybe the Volvo V50 2.0 diesel?
I've got an e46 320d touring and in love it, buy a 54 or 05 and you should avoid the swirl flaps issues cravo mentions or pay £159 to have them removed
I hammer mine and get 46mpg, the saloon is meant to be a few mpg better too. Mines as se but I'll be after the m sport next time
Its my boring car until my baby (due in 4 weeks) is out of a pushchairs then its gen 7 time again !

That's your car... what happened to that lovely celica you had ? :-(

If I'm following correctly your not really asking is it cheap, more has it been done.
And if your seeing this as an engineering challenge and an opportunity to create a one off then all credit too ya, I think its a great idea and would like to see the result
The chargers from the cooper s do seem to be making it into a few different cars recently

The mot rules are v old. A newish car with new brakes will probably still out perform a h reg astra
I wouldn't worry
Also they say 200 and that probably means 50 with 150 to cover themselves off

Gutted for ya mate.
A buddy of mine had an escort gti years ago and his missus ex keyed every panel.
He was gutted
Though I did see the guy in a night club a few weeks later and "clearly explained the error of his ways"
Shouldn't cost too much to fix though bud

How about BMW estoril blue. Its the colour that was only used on m series cars in the 90s. Looks ace, very shiny and never seen on a Celica

will get pictures up in the morning mate im just going to start looking for wheels and exhaust at the moment both are standard. want to get the clocks sorted out to it only has 110mph on it
guy reckons its a bigger turbo thats on it so will see if i can find anything on it to look up and check.
it drove back perfect today was quieter than my ss111 inside
Don't the clocks finish at 110 because the car is Japanese and limited to 112 ?
Looks ace by the way

As said should be fine
A full Toyota service history would of course attract a premium when selling but in my experience the cost of doing it outweighs what you recover when you sell and a full history is a full history in my opinion.

.... because they don't have fog lights when they leave the factory in many cases
That's why alot of imports have ugly rear fogs hanging off brackets
