I wouldn't take it to metal, if it is stone chipped just skim the chips with some stopper and sand it back before filler primer and base,
If you do use any kind of paint stripper you might cause I headache in cleaning the panel completely to prevent the new paint reacting
-
Like you've said you can de glaze the pads with some sand paper, make sure you grease the carriers when you rebuild the pads using copper grease, also clean the disc faces with brake cleaner

My friend has had his whole engine bay bits Done for his st170focus and another had wheels and engine plastics done on hi golf...both very impressive! I'm tempted with my engine plastics, wicked coatings done both

I paid £70 for a roof on my previous car, I'd be looking to pay £100 ish
But it's straight forward to do, as long as you have a little patients and a few hours on your hands with a little help of somebody you can do it in your street

So You've tried this One Mate? It does the job and won't damage our Car???
Yes mate, been on over a year now, no problems yet.

I have the first 'trd' oil cap...but I left the fake looking trd cap off, it does the job, it's a cap and when I need to put oil in I just unscrew it

Just got back from having mine done, what a difference, no more silly rear camber well 1.1degree on it now...the car was all over the place on the way down there and a missive improvement after, I haven't had chance to push it yet because of traffic. The initial turn in felt a lot better on the way home! Money well spent!

The company I'm using avia wheel alignment in Bridgend are dry highly rated on the piston head, night walkers, Evo and Subaru forums, I'm hoping ill feel a differnce after!

My cars booked in for full set up tomorrow at 2, it's handling like crap at the moment! It's only £59 all in per hour. I've asked been asked if I want a fast road set up or standard, I cant decide at the moment lol

I'd have gone for a 190.... I only went for the 140 at the time because it was cheap and I can make money on it...but I wish I had a 190 now
-
I run 5w30 as its on tap in work, I change mine 3/4 times a year mainly down to the mileage and because it only costs the filter and a sump plug seal
-
Oops!
But what colour is the car? I love it!!

Tbh an Astra with let is going to go wrong if it's been played with.. I've got more confidence giving my celica some beans with 81k on it than my Astra with 60k
-
You really do get what you pAy for...I know people that paint cars for £400 but it's a shit job! I had my old cars painted and for a standard silver I paid £1300 but it was a pretty mint job, few marks here and there but everything I had a problem with they sorted without a problem
-
I ran 18x9.5 rear and 18x8 front on my old Astra coupe (fwd) i never felt anything different to when I was running the 17x7.5 winter wheels(handling wise)
-
I need to know this too after a close bushing with a hedge lol
-
I agree, with mots I've had a few fiestas with them in (they seem to be the worst) and the beams all over the place, I've failed them...but we get some in with HID's and there's all ok so I don't fail them
-
I always ran yoko spec 2's until I tired a pair of p zero neros' last year, ended up giving them away, hated then in the wet and in the dry. Was advised to try a maxxis and I love them! Out handle the yoko's by miles, but it's down to personAl opinion

I hit a fox in my coupe, took the rad and condenser! Could have been worse! all the best in sorting it tho!!

The p1 and p3 range have an option of having drl fogs but there isn't a fog light switch and switch off when the light switch module is turned making them legal and not projecting any light into the road Infront...I've looked Into doing it with mine but seems to much headache
