  1. I'm going but will be on a different stand, granted i will be stumbling around yours at some point if you need anyhting detailing related!
  2. Firstly, Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Phil. I posted up asking if someone would lend me a set of wheels for half an hour to test my tyres. Seems that my problem has not been a bearing after all, but it is actually my tyres. Seems the tread is very uneven and causing a lot of noise! Phil was a top bloke and lent me a set of five Also I learnt that when it says on teh internet that removing the drivers driveshaft only loses a small amount of fluid, do not, and I repeat DO NOT, remove the driveshaft without something under it..............a few litres of fluid ont eh road makes a right mess!
  3. Realistically with a mix of driving I am getting 28-30mpg
  4. I am not sure his showed codes but you never know?
  5. My dad had this issue on his vectra, not sure if it is the same setup but it was due to a breakage in his ABS ring?
  6. My car is black it gets filthy over night sat on the drive!
  7. Go stand in the corner and think about what you just said!
  8. I have heard good things about wolf products but are yet to try them myself!
  9. dodo juice wax imo is the better wax when compared to hd wax, you can currently get that for 25 a tub or could get a panel pot for 5 which can do a few coats of a car. The other option I could offer is for durability and also a deep wet look you could go for harly wax which is my winter choice, couple of coats and it lasts for months!
  10. Same polisher I have and a lot of people have the wrong view about rotaries that they are scary and will burn through the paint at first look. As long as you do not rush, take your time and get reading the guides on detailing world you will do well As for what wax to use, it is all down to personal preference, I have tried a hell of a lot of waxes and will try more in the future. It all depends on your price range really
  11. Stop spending money on wax for it then There comes a point where you have to also work out how much longer it will last before it needs more money spending? If it gets through this MOT will it see you a few more years or will you run into more problems come next MOT?
  12. It will all depend on how fast you want it done, as rotaries will do the job quicker! Your best bet is getting a scrap bonnet from scrap yard and check the threads on detailing world, in fact there are always polishers going second hand on DW
  13. /\ /\ As he says, Silverline rotary if you were to jump in at the deep end! That from halfrauds is pathetic and will only be as good as your hand for example Here is a 50/50 on my astral black Gen 6 when using the rotary, poor picture but you get the idea, left is unpolished!:
  14. I use a rotary polisher, it all depends on which you get and making sure you get the right pads and practice on a scrap panel before touching your paint!
