goodluck mateAll the paperwork has nor been sent off to the court, pleading Not guilty of course as it's a technicality that the BiB did their test incorrectly.
Fingers crossed the judge sees it that way too

mate we are with you 100%!
You need any thing, post on here

option 1 mate........simples
-
Sounds like a plan!I like it. Tbh I don't advocate driving like that on the street and Im sure that the site owners etc don't either.
On a track though....
There were some really good shots to that (coming out the garage, on the flyover etc) but some equally shite bits.
Just a thought. As there are so many of us in different regional areas, perhaps we could do regions and then stitch it together to make a feature film?

another different design of celica mats! they must be around 5-6 different types you can get now.
-
It is a joke mate.
Sounds like there whole system on measuring db of an exhaust is wrong.
They should start doing proper research BEFORE giving out fines!
Typical police mentality
-
no probs
Thank you for bringing up this topic mate.
2mozs results is a very important one and will finally give us some clarity hopefully to all modded car owners in the UK.
-
I really hope you get the answers you and we deserve mate.
The results or opinions so far add up to further inconsistencies which to be frank is terrible and useless.
Fingers crossed for you mate and hope you get good news

Problem with that is all those who have illegal stuff on their car but for an mot take it off, then when the car passes puts it back on. Main thing a de cat pipe for example (unless your car is except fro needing one of course)
But if like myself you dont have any illegal mods on the car, i.e. an aftermarket exhaust that passes the mot fine, but then the police book you for what is a road worthy vehicle, then there is something drastically wrong.
so i need to fit one of these then
Even better...........buy on of these and be 100% certain the police cant book you for emissions!
-
either way, this topic initial outcome is aload of shite.
If your car passes the mot, then a random copper pulls you over and books you on another set of rules with regards to your exhaust, then surely the mot needs to be updated BEFORE the police can penalise motorists surely??!!
Just another case of funding the police xmas party well done pc ploding useless!
-
i agreeSounds like you can contest your fine then. Write a letter to the station saying you are going to take them to court.
They have cocked up and tested incorrectly (wrong rpm)
And you have all the evidence you need as they have provided you a printout as proof

A 52 plate gen 6 celica.............cool!

My toyota dealer wanted £50 to align my wheels!!
No thanks

Nah i just bought another (reconditioned) 7afe with low mileage but developed the same problems after a few years.I'm guessing you just had the existing engine re-built then with new Piston rings, seals etc?
Fensport are taking the short block from a 7A-FE engine out of a V reg… Avensis I think, to be mated to my top section. Thereby completely replacing my rubbish old style 4-hole pistons with the later improved 8 hole pistons that don’t burn oil. Had the word straight from Toyota that its all to do with the number of Oil drain back holes in the pistons that cause this problem. So short of those pistons failing at a later date that should be problem solved for good...
Costing me an arm and a leg but still cheaper than buying a reconditioned block or getting Toyota themselves to do the work!
Goodluck with the new engine, i figured instead of shelling out on another 7afe engine, may as well do the full hog and beams it hehe
-
Mate that is an AWSOME little guide. Even I can understand that I will definatley get me one of those soon as I have some spare cash, (which might be a while as I'm about to shell out for an engine block replacement. The Oil burning curse of the 7A-FE )
Same happened to mine, twice!
Unless you get a new/reconditioned engine it may happen again as i found out.
gonna do a beams conversion now so will stop that from happening again!

well just been out for a mini photoshoot. feel better about them now.

The best way is to as you say buy jdm lights and use original bulb cluster. To answer the original post directly, 23W will be fine in place of 21, there will be enough margin for error.
could you not just put the uk wiring (and possibly sockets/bulbs) into the JDM light cluster ?
Looks the best also, and i have a few sets in stock

they look stealth mate

Coppers are great aint they

Well i bought my 25th Anniversary in 1998 (was 1 year old)
Kept it till 2002 (bought a brand new Honda s2000 GT)
Then whilst looking through a local newspaper, i saw the exact same car for sale in 2006! I couldn't believe it, whats the chances of that!
Didnt tell the guy i bought it back from that i used to own the car, but he twigged when he saw my name on all the old service receipts etc!lol
So technically, i have owned the car for 10 years haha
Im never gonna let her go again, ahem to that.
celica 15" toms alloys
in General Celica Discussion

yeah as Briano says, they are nice looking alloys but they are only worth approx £120, which i feel are a bargain
Ideal for track use though as they are very light
