really?!
I thought alloy rads kept the engine much cooler?
-
Hi all
I have a solid oem rad and a brand new alloy rad for a beams conversion, but is the alloy really the best one to go for?
-
I did say this would happen mate.
Hardly anyone will take scrap value for this now as its so low (unless your skint)
But worth a try.
I thought she wanted top money for this.
Yeah the mileage is low but could of been off the road for years and god knows what problems mechanical wise it has.
walk away.

looks better when you put the red illuminated lights together as toyota intended
-
fair do's on apex's part!
Other companies in the suspension business should take note tbh.
Glad its been sorted for you
-

-

-
may get a tester amount just to put a strip down and see (and yeah, can remove as needed)- will also check your thread out more splinter.
that DOES sounds frikkin epic You and 25th need a bit of a 6th gen 7th gen white machine stand off my 2 favourite cars visually
I'll just be the scruffy white one out accelerating you both
-
yeah a wrap would be the ideal solution digs as if you change your mind later down the road, you can go for the weave look.
White carbon weave............... JDM Ice cold look
-
I think kazi, you can get away with just having carbon bonnet as your celica is red.
Its a shame to spray over the carbon as i know it would be still light in weight and you have the scoop etc but spraying over the weave makes me uncomfortable.
But will look nice either way mate.
-
I agree.................especially with white, you need other carbon parts to pull it off.
Ive since put carbon door mirrors on and im having carbon spoiler blocks delivered soon to further pull it off.

for the price these are great value

you just need to convince the system that the airbag is still there even though you take it off.. its easily done by putting an appropriate resistor in there, this will mimic the resistance the airbag would normally produce when a check is done when you first start up, and hence the light will go out.
a resistor is the better method than taking the bulb out as when mot time comes the airbag light has to light then go out to pass the test.
heres a vid i made on my channel explaining the process. http://youtu.be/abZqHPzObf0?list=UU4LUIUJ-hL7tZP6p5WWjxjw
heres a night pic of my Kode wheel, and as others have said if feels real good in the hand,
yes you do, in fact nowdays, any change at all you are best telling them, imo if you are modding it is always best to insure with a specialist insurer, its cheaper with them than you think.
I know about mods on insurance policies mate, as i used to be a car insurance manager when i was living in Swansea .
Just be careful as some companies ive heard will not insure a car without an airbag (if the car was originally fitted with one)
-
goodluck with the glue mate.
Im not 100% sure whether you can get it all off without leaving some marks etc.
fingers crossed time
-
dont you have to tell your insurance company about changing an airbag wheel to a non airbag version?
Im pretty sure this will void some insurance policies also.
-
not many people do major car graphics anymore..............
Most look terrible and bring unwanted attention to the car.
Plus dont you have to tell your insurance company as its a mod so will also increase your insurance

tbh, ive seen loads of gen 6 celicas for breaking/parts etc and hardly any of them had any rust.
Ive never owned one with rusty doors etc.
As mine is a beams, its engine is better than a gen 7 190, better made and as mentioned as its an import, solid as a rock.
the gen 6 was over engineered so unless you buy a unloved one, its unlikely to let you down more than a newer gen 7.
Gen 7 isnt exactly young either is it
-
Why dont you buy the offical ones instead of risking buying cheaper ones that wont fit/work??
Only £25 mate.
-
some yellow polish applicator pads x 24 for £2.16 delivered!
