  1. In an attempt to be semi-serious I think owners of the 190 are more concerned about lift bolts and oil consumption/engines blowing up and haven't noticed Brake master cylinder fluid leaks.

Was it something that was generaly faulty then fixed after the first month of ownership?

I'm sure they're more worried about what their hair looks like while crashing.

  2. 1. yes and 2. yes.

10% is the limit on the plus or minus side for the speedo. so the tacho could be out by the same amount.

Wrong. The mileage is spot on. The speedo is adjusted to be a certain margin above the speed to avoid any lawsuits in speeding cases ("My speedo said I was doing X") but the mileage is recorded in terms of revolutions of the wheels, so that actually changes if you put on different sizes wheels.

  3. It would open the floodgates for people, (as already started re: autos, for members wanting other specific forums? Turbo forum. Nitrous forum. Lagoon Blue Gen 7 forum.........

We already have a GT4 forum.

Same thing, IMHO. Is there such a harm in having another seperate forum to dealwith those issues? The vert drivers might become more active if they have a place to go to discuss their toplessness. If it proves to be impopular (gen 4 topic, anyone?) it could always be merged with existing forums. :D

Perhaps all the classifications need a re-jig? When I want to ask abouta mod, should it go in the mod forum, or the Gen-7 forum so as not to bore all the gen 1-6 owners? But hey, it's sort of audio related, so should it go in there?

So let's just have one general discussion topic. Audio mods go in the Audio forum (which should really be a subforum of the mods forum, IMHO), other mods go in the mods forum, and generation specific things go in the generation specific forum. How is that confusing? :?

  4. Toyo Proxes T1-S

Make and Model plus size of Tyre: See above, 215/40R17 & 235/40R17

    Celica owned: 1991 ST182- Gen 5 GT

Type of driving: Mostly town, some motorway as wel

    Type of driver: Shit. :(

Miles covered so far and wear rate: Doesn't seem that bad, though I don't drive that much.

    Dry use: Terrific.

Wet use: Great, up to about 50mph, mostly due to wideness, I suspect.

Snow / Ice use: Fecking useless.

Noise: Not noticable thanks to my exhaust. :(

Overall opinion / comments / strengths / weaknesses: Quite good tyre for in the summer. Works in the winter, but loses grip very easily.

Price paid and from where: Came with the car. :( New about £70

    Rating out of 10: 7.

  5. I believe 'a windmill' neither is a challenge, as i come from suffolk where there are 5 within a few miles of where i grew up!

Stop gurning and go and take a picture of one, then. Just to embarrass Dublet, if nothing else.

Hell, I wouldn't know where the windmills are in the city I now live in. :S Plus, my car needs a thorough washing.

I do have pictures of other people's Celica near a windmill. :D:ban:
