Well done Paul

Wouldn't Toyota be able to put that part number into their computer system and come up with something?

It does look like it

I think some of the Gen 1 guys have imported cars from Japan? Maybe have a look in their forum.

I was just going to say the same. Our local newsagent appears to stock just one copy every month, the July one sold and the August one is now on the shelf. She said the only way to get one once they've sold is to go direct. I guess the wholesalers move on so quickly to the next month, that they cannot reorder as all stock has gone or been returned to publishers.

Precisely why I was looking for it
I'm not a regular reader of it, hence why I'm reluctant to subscribe online. I can't find anywhere that will let you order just one magazine, unless you are willing to pay almost twice the price!
I have ordered individual copies of one or two magazines in the past from both WH Smiths and our little local newsagents without any problems? Always say you will collect it - I had one posted to me and it was rolled up tightly like a very large cigar! I really don't like crumpled or dog-eared mags, so I was very annoyed to have a tightly curled magazine that needed weights on the corners in order to read it if I put it down on a table whilst drinking coffee.

Someone should have posted about that in General Discussion at the time with a pic or two. Gives people the chance to go out and buy it!

Not quite the iconic country scene it could have been . But it is a deer - Tomb is the judge on this challenge!

It may be worth pointing out to anyone who has not received their calendar yet that the envelope with board back is quite large - larger than the calendar. The width is more than Bryan's guess of 12 inches, it's 13 inches (33cms), which is wider than most people's letterbox. I had mine delivered to work as my letterbox is only a 10 inch slot and I didn't want the postman to bend it to get it through. Last year they left it on the step in a light shower. If any not delivered, worth ringing sorting office to see if they are holding it there. There is a return address on the rear, so Bryan might get one or two returned if not claimed

Just got mines this morning, were waiting at the post office for 3 days...
Thanks for the job, I know you've spent a lot of time to create these calendars !
... and you were so excited, you just had to rip the packaging off judging by that photo

I think if most people stop and think about it, they would realise that the calendar is very time-consuming.
A few general thoughts from me... Although I am not involved in it (apart from providing probably around 25 photos of between 1 - 6MB), anyone who is artistic will know that it's not a question of arranging a few photos on a page and then printing that page. There is a lot of preparation of the image in terms of cropping, looking at how the page balances out in terms of shape, colour and the overall impression. Even if a photo meets the criteria of clarity and the MB range, the crux of the matter would be the composition of everything in the photo, the lighting, extraneous 'bits' in view that detract rather than add to the overall impression. My Gen 5 friends on our Wales driving days are used to me asking them (nicely!) to get out of the way before I press the shutter . If I'm intending to take a photo of my car, I drive out to places where I know the backdrop will enhance the shot - rather than take 'snaps'. The main photo for each month in the calendar is brilliant and gives an indication of what to aim for.
I can fully appreciate the disappointment of anyone not getting their photos into the calendar.
May I suggest that this thread is moved into Members' Area Club Chat now for any further comment. Perhaps put a new basic thread to state what the Calendar is, how it came about, cost and link to buy in the shop in General Celica for non-members to see.

Got mine on Saturday - thank you guys!

Ordered mine too! Christmas present to myself

Looks lovely! When the orders go live in the club shop, would it be an idea to also put a banner at the top of the home page to advertise it? People could then click on it and be taken straight to the item in the shop to order. I'm mindful that some people just don't know where to find the shop! Might get more sales which would be brilliant

My 25 yr old HT lead finally sheared off beyond repair and the car came to an unexpected halt.
Today my replacement Magnecor competition leads arrived! Great service from Magnecor, even though ordered from a third party (DC Performance) on Monday evening, made at Magnecor yesterday, with me today (Wed). Even a little note inside to say my leads were handmade by Carol

I’m planning on another set of wheels with snow tyres and hope we get lots of the white stuff
You're more likely than some of us to get lots of the white stuff!

Just back from Australia, so will do my best to sort some in next few days, if that's not too late.

Are you going to accept someone driving to their local dealership and parking next to something, or does it have to be something spotted parked up somewhere? Just thinking ahead to likely scenarios
Post your CELICA pic of the day:ONE PIC PER PERSON PER DAY PLEASE!
