  1. Good stuff, thanks for the advice folks! Definetly food for thought. Would the best recommendation be to find a UK company who will supply like Funky Power or Sumo Power? Funky power do the HKS Silent Hi-Power - axle back full stainless and has the quiet then louder feature that i liked about the Fujitsubo. £559.99 which isnt bad for being in the UK already
  2. I have thought about that, im pretty sure the kind gent that supplied my CF bonnet gets a container every once in a while, might speak to him. Waiting on email back from RHD Japan, they seem fairly well set up and supply some Fujitsubo bits already, no listings for ZZT23 celicas for Power Getter but they do for other cars, should be doable id think
  3. Hi all, Looking for some advice on this, you may have spotted my other threads that were inevitably going to lead to this. Im considering the Fujitsubo powergetter as i think it sounds the best, looks the best blah blah blah and im WILLING to spend a bit of cash on it However, i dont wanna be paying the same price again in shipping etc So can anyone advise the best practise for importing such a thing from Japan? Nengun performance have the price at £475 for the exhaust and then £700 odd shipped! then theres tax!! making it (waits for the "i told you so's") near on £900....bit much There must be a cheaper way, like having a company bung it in a container with their stuff for a nominal fee or something right? Any help is appreciated Thanks
  4. polycarbonate windows ftw mate, no heated rear window but it means even more weight reduction
  5. get a broom handle for doing the boot and at least 2 extra pairs of hands id say, it'll be an awkward C-Unit to do. Broom handle can be wedged into a nook in the boot lid and then into the wheel well or something to hold it up whilst you fit the boot struts
  6. Not got an RTP bonnet but i did fit up my carbon bonnet myself. Really simple in terms of the 4 bolts just as per usual, leave them with a bit of play, close softly and check everything lines up, adjust accordingly and tighten fully. As for the bungs and stuff, i found that the material on the underside FRP in my case was thicker than the metal bonnet and as such the threads dont fit and i had to thin it out with a flap wheel. And soften the bung in some hot water (it was cold otuside) HTH!
  7. Dammit, OK but heres a newer post on the same car FF Drift Celica 2
  8. Some of you may have seen this, some may have strong opinions on it tlike the guys over at Driftworks forum Check it Out The above is a Celica used for FF or front wheel drive drifting, check out the mental DIY suspension mods done so he can get this thing sideways. I have found its quite well balanced for getting the arse out in the slidy weather EDIT: OK its a repost but check out the other link 2 comments down
  9. Having been the dedicated fitter for my store for 2 years id like to think i did quite a good job (but lord knows Straiton store just couldnt keep up with us ) but it did come up a few times that the chart was wrong, and the computer was right. Best bet is always bring the bulb you need in if you can. Problems occured with the charts when cars had facelifts like the....em...celica, and light clusters got changed..... But yes, the pay is terrible, and lord knows if your good at what you do in Halfords - and that can be a huge range of things - you need to have your head screwed on a bit better than the £8 an hour till monkeys at Morrisons. Halfords have an expectation that ALL staff need to know how to fit every bulb to every type of car, and in a squeeze the wrong person gets lumped with the job
  10. dont think any celica so far could use it cause as im sure has been mentioned(being lazy) and will be said again (other people being lazy), it can only be used on cars of March Rego onward
