  1. Thanks for all the replies. Don't forget the aircon in the facelift! Having had a pre-facelift Gen 6 GT followed by a 1999 Vert there are quite a few differences - I still flash the lights when I want to operate the wipers, Toyota obviously swapped the steering column switches over when they brought in the facelift.
  2. Not sure if this is the right place, if not can the mods move it to the correct place. I've tried editingt but it appears to be locked for editing. Basically I've been reading through the Gen 6 facts and figures for my car, which is a UK Gen 6 Cabriolet. The Wiki is wrong for my car, it says: "For 1995 a soft top version was added to the range. Based on the GT it used the rear panels from the Curren (JDM Celica with a boot). It was a little heavier than the GT and the performance suffered as a result. Fitted with an electric hood, it had the same equipment as the GT but with leather seats as standard, only one airbag and no air conditioning. " Mine is definitely a UK car, and it has two airbags and air conditioning. First registered in March 1999 and I've been in touch with the previous owner who confirms that she has not had any mods done and that the airbags and air conditioning were included when she bought it new from Toyota UK Not a big mistake, but quite important, I think.
  3. We Vert owners are few and far between... ... but VERY select!
  4. Mine arrived today, very nice and quite different from all the naked lady ones most blokes have... And my car is on it, just visible on the September Meets bit!
  5. Brilliant job, ORC. Thanks a million for all your efforts
  6. Very, very nice, and looks to be in great condition. Thanks for the pic, more would be welcome.
  7. Yep, Opie do them and he's got a sale on at the moment, so you'll pay under £9 for a blade... that's brilliant value!
  8. Mine Add me to the owners list, please. Just bought this beauty from a bloke in Crowborough, near Tunbridge Wells, collecting it tomorrow It's a 1999 UK spec Gen 6 GT vert, registered in March 1999 with the registration T202JOG. This was changed when the owner bought a cherished plate on 12 Jan 2001, so now it's P11MMK. It has had 2 owners from new, has a full Toyota service history, and 78,000 miles on the clock. Full leather interior, air conditioning (needs degassing), power hood and power front & rear windows, all of which work, as does the electric aerial. It's in absolutely immaculate condition, just 2 small car park dints which you can only see if you're looking for them. The cambelt has been done earlier this year, but the tensioner bearing is a bit noisy, so I'll eventually replace that. The usual crappy Toyota 15" wheels, with the usual corrosion, so I'l keep those on through the winter and then invest in a set of 17" or 18" alloys. I'll also look around for a hood cover for when it's down, if anyone knows where they can be obtained please let me know. I've been after a decent one for years, so I'm really looking forwrd to it.
