  1. Gaitor looks great. Looking forward to the test on the seats stitching. Had a look at my steering wheel stitching and it looks black. I'd love to do it there too but not sure it would take. The stitching may have been the same as the seats at one time but the dirt and grimes turned it black.

  2. The damage was probably done with that large pot hole months back and it's just now given up the ghost. Like everyone has said its very surprising to hear and they've got a great rep. I've got some on mine which are about 7 months old. I think there can be a bad one off in any component but its likely to just be this particularly large impact.

When I had an st205 different pot holes damage its suspension twice. And that wasn't a cheap fix!

Glad they've offered a free replacement like a good company should.

  3. I'll have a check tomorrow and see if the 12mm lip on the un-machined spacer would have fit all the way in if they hadn't removed the inside chamfered edge.

It'd be interesting to know if what size lip the hubcentric spacers tend to have?? Mmmm.....

Sorry digs I didn't really answer your question. Yes both fit perfectly. The machined one fits the non machined and vice versa. Think you might be onto something too. May be they did it to turned the 2x 20mm spacers into a 40mm one.

  4. Hi guys. I'm selling these spacers. This isn't a for sale thread though as they've been sold but I don't want to sell anything which isn't up to the job or safe. To cut a long story short I bought them when I had my st205 from a member of the GT4OC (can I mention them on here? ). This was over 2 years ago now. At the time I just bought them and when they came I just ripped open the packet and had a quick look at them (oh yes they are defiantely spacers). Then they went back in the envelope for over 2 years as I'd sold the car a short time after.

Fast forward to now and I had them ready to send out and noticed one of the lips on the hubcentric spacer has been machined down to about 6mm. The lip on the other is 12mm.

Also on the rear on the same spacer the chamfered inside edge which would go onto the hub has been machined out.

This is how I got them. They interlock as they should.

So why would they machine half of the hubcentric lip off one spacer and it's chamfered inside edge? Would it be for aftermarket wheels? If so would they be okay for use with factory fit celica wheels? Also are they safe to use with a 6mm hubcentric lip, down from 12mm? Any help appreciated. :)

  5. Don't think they have the fog light on the display either which is an mot fail. Its my only option now as I missed out on the group buy too. I'm going to get some and modify it so you can see the fog display on the original dial. I think its a nice looking dial.

  6. I went for the gold anti rust coating. It does come off most if the disc after a short time but will stay in the grooves, dimples if you go for those options plus the hub. I did the calipers gold too. I'd do what davis924s said and get plain and paint the hubs if you want it to match your calipers because both my calipers and hubs are gold but slightly different shades.

These are mine when I got them...

And now fitted to the car...

  7. Thanks :) . I was thinking that about how much of the gold will be left. I'd love it if they'd stay gold but like you said most of it will rub off. The hubs should stay like that and may be the dimples and grooves. I definately wanted them coated and it was a toss up between the gold and black. Someone put a pic on here with the black coating, looked good.

  8. I understand what you're saying about the gen 6's. I had an st205 gt4 and it did feel really well built and they do look really nice. A gen 6 gt wouldn't be as fast or handle as sweet as your gen 7 gt though. The thing is they are soo cheap couldn't you buy one as well? It's been on my mind too. I've seen some really nice gen 6's recently but I wouldn't sell my 7 for one it would have to be one of each! :)

  9. Hi there. I've had a look around including the knowledge base but haven't found a definate answer. A while back I bought some spacers for my st205 gt4. Unfortunately that car has gone but would the spacers fit the gen 7 celica. The spacers are 10mm with a pcd of 5x100 . Is the centre bore the same on the gen 6 st205 gt4 as the gen 7? Ive found a chart which list the celica 90-99 and 99 on all with a bore of 54.1 . Is the st205 also 54.1? I know the pcd and stud pattern match.

    Thanks for any help.

  10. Hi Ray did you manage to see if toyota still made this rear bumper? Found some more shots of the rear. I think it finishes of the back end of the gen 7 better than any other kit.

If it's not possible to get from toyota maybe we could get a second hand one from a US forum if one pops up. I've seen this kit on some of the cars on newcelica.org. I'm a member there too. Then the shipping costs could be absorbed by several people in a group buy?

  11. Is this a general rule for all couriers or just tnt? So many times distance sellers say check the contents on delivery before you sign. I've had things delivered to neighbours which obviously they wouldn't have checked. Others have said we can't wait for you to unwrap and check everything. I can understand though. They have tight schedules to keep. If a 7 day peroid upon receipt applies to all couriers that would be a little peace of mind.

  12. Hi Ray. I'm loving the work you're doing and you seem to be the the guy to come to for body kits. I've been looking around for a kit for my t-sport and one of the best looking rears for our cars I've seen is the Tsunami rear. I think it was a special edition gen 7 with a different front and rear bumper and side skirts and the m-sport scoop. I'm not 100% sure but I think it was only released in canada for a year or two. Anyway would you be able to make one of these rear bumpers from scratch? I think getting an original in the UK would be next to impossible. I'm sure others would like it too. It's actually a full replacement bumper but if you look at the bottom of it it could easily and more cheaply be replicated as a rear lip on our own bumpers. The bonus would also be that we'd retain the fogs which they don't seem to have over in canada.

Here's a pic anyway for you and everyone else to see. I think it goes really well with our cars and isn't too over the top. The black plastic section could probably be replaced with a black mesh. Would it be possible with enough interest? Just an idea anyway. Sorry if it's been discussed before.
