I beleive lesjofors are standard springs as I contacted a uk manufacturer and got told they dont do lowering springs but that was about year and a half ago now unless they have started and afull of standard was alot more than a set of spax lowering ones I ended up buying

Sorry to hear this mate ! I did wonder what happened to you as I thought you were attending
-
Its strange the passenger one was like that as it had just gone through an mot and they were strict as the they noted advisories on dents in wheel rims and even made me change all reg plates to pass as well as brakes I had to have done too so cant see how the would have missed trailing arms , sorry to hear about it though ! But glad to hear shes being sorted and continuing to get better especialy after all that I had done on it .The passenger side adjustable arm had gone, I could twist the whole bar by hand!! I noticed the drivers side had been swapped as the adjustable arm was slightly different and most of the bolts came undone easily, I thought as it needs doing id replace the whole lot with a poly bush kit and has taken me since new yr to get this far and the hub bolts are now free I just have to cut one of the nuts off which got mashed up in the process!! The front passenger banana arm also needs doing which ive not got around to doing yet and again got the front poly bushes for that as well!!

Hey dave sorry to hear you your having issues with the trailing arm bolts as far as I csn remember when I had the car adex was sorting s few issues on the rear trailing arms on the driver side as if you remember I said one of the bushes on the inside arm (the one with the very long bolt that goes through subframe and arms ) it took him ages to get that undone initially a little at a time and he replaced the whole hub and arm at one point as some bolts were seized solid but if its passenger side I cant remember having any issues to need to remove that side arms

I usually do the same trip in my gen 4 once a month and maybe see 1 or 2 per trip so not too manyTook the coach from Cardiff to London Sat, back Sun, saw none the entire time.
All i saw were endless silver/grey euro box like mini cars and 4 by 4s, punctuated only by a purple something JDM, and a VW with lumo wheels.
It was an incredibly grey, boring sight....massed armies of uniformed soulless cars....

-

-
Nice wheels for the celica I think really look good
-
Interesting read very good find

Or do what I did , by one for 155 , new pas hose (made up not toyota) 10 quid , couple of tyres and a scrape thru the mot for under 200 , thou I spent around 1200 over the next 2 and a half years on bits
Thats not too bad for a decent gen 4 these days , most are salvagable with time and money
And as ams states if used frequently they wont be a problem
-
the 6 is thirstier than the gen 4 ! On a run i can do 400 miles to a tankSo top picture is probably an "... If Carlsburg did commuting..." picture.
The bottom is cool too.
My sixpence....
If you want a 4 eyed beast, buy a Rover or a Fiat Multipla.
If you're after Class get a black, red (not pink) or white Gen 5.
If you're after some Old Skool Cool its gotta be a Gen 4.
Hell, Im toying with leaving the 5 for a 4.
Ok mpg may be better in a 6, reliability and build may be better but if that's what you're after buy a 3 series Derv.
-
And tbh , it won't take long before a gen 4 will be worth more than the 7 gt
Especially as practical classics have just done a buyers guide on them as a classic daily driver , my agreed value is £2000 but that could be going up at some point
-
The gen4s can be very reliable i myself have done just over 30,000 miles in just over 3 years in mine which includes a trip to south wales every month from surrey if you look after them they look after you ! i have however also got a 202 import too at the moment !
-
I got ones off ebay as needed them and mine have done the same
How much money have you spent on your Celica?
