  1. I think we'd have to be desparate :)

    Best I could do

I bet misterC just leaned over his garden wall for that one.

    Angus

Err no, MR X is back in service as a 50-mile-a-day commuter for a while, anyway we're too posh to have shops where we live :P:P

Let's hope the next one gets done a bit quicker and with less yap, eh?

OK ... your Celica with a Toyota which isn't a car. Merchandise doesn't count ... I'm thinking a van or truck, but will stretch to a Toyota washing machine or similar. Pick-ups or Landcruisers don't count - they're cars.

    Angus

    Does this count?

Fellow TEC member Tony's early Landcruiser, definitely not a car in my opinion

  2. As long as the wheels are turning

    Clarification needed please!

From a previous clarification by yourself "Just to clarify. For safety and remaining within the law.

From inside the car. Not neccessarily moving unless the passenger takes it. Passing = stopped for the driver."

So are we moving (wheels turning) or are we stationary (stopped for the driver)

    Yours pendantically, Ian :):)

  3. Next challenge, a celica with it's twin, same colour and generation, ideally without crossing convertables, GT4s and pre/post facelift models, but that's relaxable if it's too hard.
OK so, the new challenge is "Your car with it's twin" please can it be a NEW photo.

Apologies it's not a NEW photo, but two identical Sunchasers together is a rare shot at any time :D

    Selkirk2006Sunchasersfr.jpg

Selkirk Rally 2006 when I drove MR X up to Scotland for the opportunity to have a snap with Debbie Wade's Sunchaser.

Let me know if this is acceptable and I'll set a new challenge.

  4. Shite - I thought it was still multiple police cars ... I spent most of today being driven about in the BMW on the right. Haven't had so much fun in ages.

    Angus

Well I'm quite happy for Angus to set a new challenge and keep this moving.

It seems the least we can do after all the trouble he seems to have been in with the law today :dance:

  5. Next -your Celica outside a kebab shop.

    Angus

Not strictly a kebab shop, but the local chippie with a special line in kebabs according to his sign.

If acceptable, next challenge is your Celica (or the bloke down the road, Angus) next to a 1970's/1980's Ford car/van (I like this kind of challenge as it brings out some interesting old motors  )

  6. There's a mint beige Marina goes about in Fraserburgh ... all I have to do is find it and get the old codger to park next to the guy along the road's Gen 7 now ... :sofa:

<edit> Come to think of it, there's another old guy goes about in a brown Austin Maxi too.

    Angus

And especially for Angus as a stalwart of this particular topic, I am prepared to amend the challenge to "Your (or the guy along the road's Gen 7) Celica next to a 1970's/1980's British Leyland car/van

  7. See, they are still out there

And don't forget I said 1980's as well, so a lot of beige pensioner material to go for.....Maestro's, Montego's, Triumph Acclaim, Metro's, Ambassador, Ital, and don't forget Sherpa vans and their later Freight Rover offshoots.

Get snapping people and remember it's tat like this that made the Japanese car industry what it is today :sofa:

  8. OK, your Celica with three (full-size) footballs and a potted plant on the roof ;)

    balls.jpg

The dog thought I was being a little odd putting a cactus plant and three of his footballs on the car roof at 11 0'clock at night :sofa:

but that's the madness of the Celica Photo Challenge.

Next, your Celica next to a 1970's/1980's British Leyland car (Allegro, Marina, MGB, Princess, TR7 etc) but not a Mini 'cos that was my last challenge

(It appears I'm going through a BL phase at the moment :lol:

  9. I think that should count - those cars are rare as an addict with veins..

Didn't the headlights point with the steering?

Original challenge now modified and the winner is...................Angus!

From memory the main beams on the DS pointed with the steering, or was that the later SM ?? (or indeed both !!)

    Next challenge please Angus.
