Thanks for the updated list, saves me searching
Anyway just to recap the new challenge was amended to include artificial trees as below :-
"Your Celica with a Christmas tree (real or fake) in the back/boot on it's way to the recycling centre/it's normal place for the rest of the year
So the people with artificial trees take them out to your car, get a snap then put them away in their box"
-
My tree is a fake one and goes back in it's box.
In fairness to all, the new challenge has been amended to:-
Your Celica with a Christmas tree (real or fake) in the back/boot on it's way to the recycling centre/it's normal place for the rest of the year
So the people with artificial trees take them out to your car, get a snap then put them away in their box
No excuses this year not to keep this thread moving along
-
Ticks the box as far as I can see.
Go on MrC, set the new challenge
OK just to spoil the festive spirit as I'm back at work tomorrow the next challenge is:-
Your Celica with a Christmas tree in the back/boot on the way to the recycling centre
-
OK, this has been an abject failure. Shame on you all. Strike one for me.
So I will scrub it and replace to get moving along again.
How about your Celica with a 'Happy New Year' neon light sign.
Following on from this previous post by myself :-
".................................on walking back into the house I managed to drop the bloody camera and now it doesn't work
Luckily it was discussed the other night that my Xmas pressie might be a new camera as I've found 1.3 Million Pixels not very good quality these days "
I did indeed get a new camera as a pressie (12.2 million pixels ), so to celebrate I have taxed the silver Sunchaser for 6 months and the first trip out was to get this shot:-
It's not a neon sign but a revolving LED sign saying "We wish you all a Happy New Year" which is why it actually shows "ppy New Year"
but if it's good enough I'll set a new challenge.
Let's try to make it a New Year's Resolution to try and keep this thread moving
-
Probably. Need to be really unique now to avoid repetition. Something like CCUK open on a laptop but showed in the reflection of your car
An open laptop with the CCuk front page and me trying to cover the flash with my finger all reflected in the driver's side window of the silver Sunchaser.
I hope this was the new challenge set as on walking back into the house I managed to drop the bloody camera and now it doesn't work
Luckily it was discussed the other night that my Xmas pressie might be a new camera as I've found 1.3 Million Pixels not very good quality these days

Well that's your Celica surrounded by leaves, so challenge requirements met.
The next challenge is.......?
-
Your Celica.... with a wheel off, only one though!
MisterC Garden Productions proudly presents :-
I had to change a wheel on my sister's Micra so it would have been rude not to stick the jack under one of the cars
Next challenge in keeping with the change of seasons, your Celica next to a pile of leaves or actually covered in leaves.
-
OK Bill - seeing as everyone obviously keeps their cars scrupulously clean, and you've risked the wrath of the detailing freaks by potentially scratching your paint with drawing in the dust - what's the next challenge?
Angus
I've only just noticed the writing since you've said that - what a filthy state to keep a Celica in
Next challenge it is then!
-
Brucklay Arms, New Deer ...
Angus
That'll do for me Angus.
Next challenge please and let's see if anyone else has got a camera
-
Still a pub with prince in the name...
If this one carries on for much longer I'll be taking a trip to the Prices Charles.
--
Google maps search of my local area for 'prince pub' says there's one within a mile! The things you learn.
I was thinking the thread had gone a bit quiet too, so had a drive past the Prince of Wales in Crewe at the weekend. Trouble is it's the rougher end of town and a group of local likely lads were hovering outside So I took the camera to work but it appears Chester doesn't have a 'Prince' pub anymore. So a detour to Winsford on the way home produced this rather poor quality photo:-
The Princes Feathers at Winsford.
Next challenge, hopefully easier and quicker to sort but on the same theme:-
Your Celica next to a pub with 'Arms' in the name.
-
soooooo next challange is?
Still this one I think
How about a pub with the word prince in the name -
I went for the dramatic approach Plus im always scared for my life driving through Bracknell so getting out of the car i wanted to be quick!
Plus i was going by the style of the rest of the pics as they mostly seem to be on double yellows i was trying to get as many yellows as possible!
The way these photos are going I wouldn't be suprised if you set the next challenge as your Celica abandoned halfway across a busy pelican crossing
-
Not exactly the same spot
Sorry for the naff quality photo, taken on my iphone.
Well done that man. Next challenge please
(I assume it's your Celica I've seen parked outside a house near the White Lion ? ?)
At least you respected the double yellowsDoes that still count for pre-1980 cars
-
OK let's keep it moving then
Next challenge is your Celica next to a video shop (Blockbuster that sort of thing).
Just to keep this thread alive here's a pic of my Corolla next to a Blockbuster to show it's a simple challenge
So who's up for fufilling the request of your Celica next to a video shop
-
Just a quick reminder then on the new challenge
OK let's keep it moving thenNext challenge is your Celica next to a video shop (Blockbuster that sort of thing).
-
Hang on its supposed to be in afield on its own,if you look closely you can see people in the background
I did ask the question if it was suitable:-
This any good??Trentham Gardens Show 2007 with me virtually last off the site
And got the answer from the challenge setter:-
yeaaaaah mrC has it (again)I've found from previous replies that such pedantry over responses slows the spontaneousness of what can be sometimes a slow-moving thread
I await a picture of your Celica in a field

Yeah let's make this a previously owned Camaro topic
Here's my 3rd Generation IROC-Z
That was about 14 years ago but I've still got the bike
Anyway what was the next challenge
-
Nice find !
I've had two of those, the green one was auto, the silver one 6-speed manual. Both the Z28 with the LT1 5.7 litre V8 like that one
And I looked through my photos last night but even though I still had them when I bought my first Sunchaser I've got no photos of them together.
Next challenge please
-
Is there anything you havnt got inyour garden ,,hold the chalenge im on it tommorow,,,would a celica next to a jumbo jet get you or is there one in the shed
Funny you should say that as I could actually do that The local scrapyard has got a plane in minus its wings and can be clearly seen from the road.
As for what's in the garden, this is a pic from tonight:-
In shot seven Toyotas (4 Sunchasers, a 1979 Corolla Liftback, a 1993 Corolla, a damaged MR2 Mk2), a Nissan Micra, a Vauxhall Astra (behind the Micra), a Honda CBR600RR...........and out of shot a Honda CD185, a Honda VFR750, a Kawasaki Z650, a Honda CBX250, a Francis Barnett Cruiser.
I'm going to have to stop buying things
-
The daughter will be most disappointed the handstand challenge has been done as we were waiting for some dry weather to do this:-
Anyway the challenge is your Celica next to an American car, extra points for a convertible.
Well try this for size:-
My red UK Sunchaser in the background with my US LHD Sunchaser in the foreground. It's a convertible and technically it's American as the LHD cars were converted in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
I'll set the next challenge if a 'proper' Yank car doesn't appear in the next few days.
-
Not 100% sure if this is still the challenge, but I still like the photo.
The challenge was:
Any pet/animal in your celica except a dog (you can't keep them out of cars).
My entry was a repost from an earlier challenge, so I wasn't counting it unless we got desperate.
So in my book, your turn to set a challenge
-
I so want that to be left hand drive
It's funny you should say that because when I had this
which was left hand drive, he'd sit exactly the same in the passenger seat (which of course was on the right hand side).
Now that did get some funny looks and double takes
Ok anyone who had a pet rodent has probably seen it pass on since this challenge was offered so lets say any pet/animal in your celica except a dog (you can't keep them out of cars). So I guess I'll have to use this photo again
The eagle-eyed members will know I used this some time ago when the challenge was along the lines of your Celica next to a sheep.
If no-one can do an original shot I'll set a new challenge on Friday evening.
Celica photo challenge.

I had the same thought last night.
It's a shame really as I've always enjoyed the photo challenges but it is a thread that alternates between great flurries of activity and then weeks of apathy
Two options then:-
I'll set a new, easy-to-achieve challenge and hope to get the thread moving again
or
We'll have a quick show of hands as to whether to mothball the challenge
So option 1. Your Celica outside your house !!!! ( Very acheivable for most members with a Celica, a camera and a house )
The future of the photo challenge rests in your hands.
