I can sell you a calendar for £10 at the Birthday Party. Just incase you've not got one yet.
Why not take one of the calendars outside and have a photo taken next to Ethel, Sabrina or THE Avon
Then you can set the next challenge and keep the thread moving
-
Is a new challenge possible? I didn't manage to find one of those signs and I bet they're even rarer now...
I'll change it to one that should be easily manageable for virtually any member but still in keeping with a similar theme.
The challenge is " Your Celica with a calendar showing January 2014 on it or next to it "
-
Therefore I'll modify the challenge to ' Your Celica next to a Happy New Year sign.'
This should be acheivable for most people.
These signs are actually really rare.
I'm pretty sure misterC has one in the back garden..
I might have one in the garden but I set the challenge so it's only fair to let someone else have a go !
Gelukkig Nieuwjaar !! (if Google Translate is to be believed)
-
Hugely impressed that misterC is still managing to meet these challenges in his garden.
What can I say, it's a big garden full of all sorts of crap !!!!
What's the next challenge anyway? I wanna get involved!
Sorry saw the Santa Grotto thing, That's already been done with the Gen 1 Celica
I think the 'your Celica next to a Santa's Grotto sign' is now a little out of date as Santa has done all the gift delivering this year and is on his way back to the North Pole.
Therefore I'll modify the challenge to ' Your Celica next to a Happy New Year sign.'
This should be acheivable for most people.

ok keeping with the spirit of things your car with father christmas behind the wheel
Now before anyone comments, I know this isn't the REAL Father Christmas but he said he's too busy right now to pose for photos, so this one will have to do.
If accepted next challenge is your Celica next to a sign for Santa's Grotto.

You sir are a winner !! Well done
Set a new challenge please and let's keep the thread going.
-
Well I obviously cannot win my own challenge, can I ?
And as for elderly looking, can you not see I was in character as William Woollard, the Top Gear presenter from the 1980's.
I am in fact in real life much younger looking as many members on here can vouch for
So this challenge still stands :-
"The challenge is now as above but the person does not have to be obviously elderly but can just be possibly elderly looking"
And if Bryan wants to send a picture of himself next to one of his Celicas this is bound to be a winner
-
The thread seems to have stalled again, so in a vain attept to jump-start it I will amend the challenge once more !
The challenge is now as above but the person does not have to be obviously elderly but can just be possibly elderly looking
-
Next challenge is your Celica either outside a clearly signed old peoples home or next to one of the 'Caution - Elderly People' road signs.
It looks as though that challenge is not going anywhere fast, so I'm amending it to make it easier and to keep the thread moving.
Amended challenge is:
Your Celica either outside a clearly signed old peoples home or next to one of the 'Caution - Elderly People' road signs, or at the very least with an obviously elderly person stood next to it.
This should widen the parameters a bit to include parents, grandparents, partners and even yourself if you're near ORC's age
-
Anybody else ever heard of this guy????
If they have ill take it
Mackers is a (small) legend in the bike racing world.
I'll take Silver GT's response as a 'yes' then !
Next challenge, as it's my mother's 87th birthday today, is your Celica either outside a clearly signed old peoples home or next to one of the 'Caution - Elderly People' road signs.
-
Obviously fame is such a subjective thing, but in motorcycle racing terms this chap is reasonably famous.
His name is Ian 'Mackers' Mackman and as well as being a fairly consistently well-performing privateer rider in the Isle of Man TT races over the past few years he rose to media fame as the Norton factory rider in the 2012 & 2013 seasons.
Here he is stood next to my silver Sunchaser when we were both working at Bill Smith Motors in Chester.
Die-hard racing fans should also recognise the name Bill Smith from racing success in the late 1960's & 1970's.
Hope this counts !

New challenge please
+1

Looks good to me
That's not in the middle, that's on the edge..
As much as Dublet is right in a pedantic way, it was Ghoulscout who set the challenge and he thinks it looks good so now it's down to Sonic to set the next challenge.
-
Assuming thats ok Beks set the next challenge as Your Celica parked up in the middle of a NON JAPANESE car club event
That met the criteria so the new challenge is as above.
-
To take Dublet up on his farming connection, the next challenge is:-
Your Celica next to a farm name sign, the type at the entrance to a farm.
So as not to exclude any townies out there, a City Farm sign is acceptable !
-
lmao i hadnt thought of that
Ok to make it a bit easier just the owner of the celica next to the car in some sort of fancy dress get up ........
Today I donned my best beige slacks and jacket to pay homage to that hero of early Top Gear programmes, William Woollard. I've posted the man himself first for reference.
I think this qualifies as fancy dress

That's Mike Garner's car, a regular TEC show attendee. He has won Best of Show more than once at the TEC AGM and other shows, even more impressive if you take into account that this is not a low mileage show queen but a car in regular use.
The yellow MR2 belongs to Mike and Pat Beacock, also TEC members.
-
BEHOLD.
My car parked outside of a Triumph dealership.
Well done on that one
Did you get pounced on by Triumph sales staff trying to get their May target figures up
-
Watch this space tomorrow evening I need to go to a local plumbers merchants next to that road for a bathroom job I'm doing, just need to get a mate to take my pic lol
Just needs to be your Celica in the shot outside the dealership, you don't need to be in it unless you really want to !
Best of luck
-
*googles for closest Triumph dealership*
http://www.triumphmo...d/find-a-dealer
which for you is probably J S Gedge
10 Silchester Rd St Leonards on Sea East Sussex TN38 0JB 08433 833252
-
Can you spot me?
Can't really miss you Bryan, hogging the limelight as usual
New challenge needed
To coincide with a recent change in job for me, your Celica outside a Triumph motorcycle dealership, or at the very least your Celica outside a motorcycle shop of any description.
-
Challenge: Picture of your car, yourself and 20+ other people in the background.
Good luck
My car is 3rd row, 3rd in from the left ( red TA40 Sunchaser ),
I'm right in the middle of the assembled group,
and there are more than 20 people in the background if you count that as going backwards from me !
(If not, then some pedant is going to call it the foreground and someone else will have to try and win this challenge )
-
Well done Lee, let's have the next challenge then to keep the thread alive !!
(and BTW what are you doing on the Marshfield Bank estate ?)
-
Well assuming misterC is happy with my entry the next one will be topical.
It's good !
Your Celica parked beside at GT86.
I don't think I've seen one round here yet, but then again i've not been looking really
Celica photo challenge.

That seems to meet all the requirements !
Set a new challenge please, try not to let it involve a CCUK mug otherwise ORC will try and sell us some of those to us as well
