yeah would be good to get some up this way mate. my only prob is from march till october i do 6 days a week only a monday off. good excuse for a sicky tho

hoping to get to at least one meet next year. once car is finished whats the farthest north of the meets? havent seen any in scotland. jap day at crail is ok but mostly boy racers and wannabes.

yeah i agree bit on the expensive side. you could find a better deal with a private sale. unless you can get them to throw in some extras. cambelt done,service ect

cool perfect timing got everything but oil to service my gen6 that will do nicely.

the gen6 import doesnt have them either mate. knew what you meant simple solution tho! cobra or nice recaro seats nice tight fit. no worries with the belts then

ive got an import gen6 but standard seatbelts are the same as uk ones

my mate thought he would try and get a lead and software free as well. when he foned they said yeah no prob we have them in stock. that will be 25 quid! i must have one of those voices that says this guy should get it free, hahaha

the wiring that you sent me didnt have a gen6 on it mate. my brother in law was at it for couple of hours at the weekend. plugs on my ecu are not the same as any of them. i want to try and avoid having to take the ecu out it looks like a pain in the ass to get to. can get to the plugs no probs tho.

yeah my brother in law used to have his own auto elec place so he is doing the chip for me. chip will be first thing done probly. thats been the hold up getting engine work started wanted the chip in place before anything else. maybe another fone call to the nice man from super chips see if i can squeeze as much as i can out of everything. if its reprogrammable then should be able to get a bit more hopefully.

very nice man from superchips uk emailed me the fitting instructions and is sending me the lead and software to reprogramme the chip as well. all free!!! as i said a very nice man.

yeah was thinking that mate. just need the pin positions on the plug for ecu. fensport say to take the cover off the ecu and pins are marked. wanted to avoid that was hoping to just splice into the wiring on the plug. ecu looks like it would be a pain in the ass to get out. getting to the plugs for it is much easier

can anyone tell me where i can get fitting instructions for a race icon super chip for a gen6 import? instructions i got with it are for a gen5 and ecu plugs are not the same. cheers mitch

handling first. i have koni adjustables and lowered 30mm twin pot calipers for a bit extra braking. now for more power!!! as above its more about throwing it into a corner and knowing you are not going into a field. im just about to fit cams,deck spacers,chip and boost valve so more power is good but only if the susspension and brakes can take it.

woohoo konis and springs arrived yesterday. i use a top up mastercard for online payments went to top it up today to get a few more bits and pieces for the celica. was told i had reached my top up limit of 2k for the year! i think that means ive spent around 2k on parts for it!!! her indoors reckons im obsessed. maybe but do i care! hahaha

its just a one off mate just wanted to make sure i was right it was cheap. its used but good condition. 55 quid is shipping. had to be something just had a proper look at the pictures before i bought it and there is quite a big dent about half way along the long front piece. dont think i will bother. back to the drawing board!!!

no got all 4 shocks and springs for that price was considering doing the back first for money reasons. but at that price doing front and rear at the same time. fen sport can order the adjustable kyb shocks for a celica. they couldnt give me a price for them at the time tho.

got them for 235 including the springs and postage. bargain i would say.

thanks to brian picking up a set of calipers tomorrow. i can get the carriers painted to match the red calipers before they get fitted now.

got a full set of koni adjustables today. cant wait to get them fitted. set of new springs as well.
