I used to fit TRD iridium grade 7 which will make better use of VPower or Momentum etc.
-
I would get them changed out as soon as possible and although many fit 215-45/17 remember than 205-45/17 is EOM standard.
These 225-50s are much to far out that your ESC will be compromised especially with rolling distance. On a motorway you wont have ESC interference but on a B road it will soon show up.

Thanks for the advice, I think will. Most likely first week of October and hoping it can sell within the month.
If you price it correctly it should sell. I sold my TS last month to a club member in 48 hours from advertising.

Standard MX5 stands no chance against a 190. Only way it can beat it is to run turbo. A 2 lt version, lightened up can hold up their heads. Early versions, no chance. I own a 1.8 MX5 with no TC or ESC and although the rear wheel drive is much much fun it is slow. funnily enough I've just sold my TS as I'm planning to go down the Mini route now. Set up S will beat a set up 190.

I've got plenty on my YouTube and in the Motorsport section of the forum.

I've had excellent service from tyre leader twice now. Full set set of track tyres and a set of winters.

Generally if you want to go dustless or little dust you need pads made with ferro-carbon-ceramic material. These tend to be fast road, track etc but not full race. So TRD Reds, EBC Yellows, Ferrodo DS2500 etc. Anything from 3 - 5 times more expensive than basic pads. Pads last longer, discs wear faster.
Dusty pads tend to be much cheaper and just normal road types as an OEM substitute and made from non-metallic materials. Mixtures of various synthetic substances bonded into composites. Pads wear faster, lots of dust, discs last longer.
-
What did they cost as they maybe Brembo but could be just their cheapest road pads which are known to be soft and dusty.

EOM for 17'' 7J is 205/45
You can use 215/45 which many members do.

im wondering if eagle f1 assy 3's is the way to go or conti sport contact 6?
Buy either that takes your fancy. Doubt you will ever find the limits of either make on the road.
-
Thought you might. I am just a tad miffed as I could probably have lasted on my old ones until now had I known they were coming.
A few laps on track will sort out that problem. lol.

Defo not 5w-40 ?
5W40 full synth is good. I track it along with TRD filters.

There is a lot of consideration in price and Longlife are one of the cheaper franchises. Check things like pipe bending against mandrel, is the stainless steel 316?, are the tail pipes single skin, rolled edges which are cheap or solid which are expensive.

does grooved wear out the pads faster?
No idea but who cares? I only get 6 sessions out of a set of TRD anyway. About 500 laps of Knockhill.
-
Grooved, forget the dimples.

Fitting a new set of F1s on Monday. 5th. set.
I do have RS 3s on my MX-5 and RAV4.

One thing to watch out when buying winter tyres is the speed rating. They tend to be lower than summer and many are on T and H which is below Celica standard requirements.
-
I use Goodyear Ultragrip Performance SUV on my RAV for winter and they are excellent.
I've been running winter rubber for many years now but I won't use multi season tyres as they are a compromise both for summer and winter.

I once had 400 torques for three years. Destroy a lot of cars mid range with that.

That's pretty good for its age I got 146 in my old one
you beat me by 1 if I remember. lol.

Used to buy them on my visits to USA but think Fensport do them.
