  1. Thanks everyone! I have dropped Mook a PM Thinking of having it square now, should just be big enough to cover up the holes from the orginal number plate brick
  2. Nice one GrayRacer, Ill drop him a PM This is what I had in mind.
  3. I think you are bang on there Razrojack, Think I will give this more though, I do want a square plate, but I hate the standard UK size, its massive and looks stupid :/ More like a trimmed down version but then thats illegal :/
  4. I was actually thinking more along these lines http://www.craigsplates.com/self-adhesive-number-plate
  5. I know they are not road legal, but who has them and have you had any grief ? I want to debrick my 7, but before I go ahead and order some new plates and some decent adhesive strips I thought I would ask about stick on plates, they look cool as fuck
  6. Which induction kit did you install ? Have you seated the MAF correctly and is it on tight ? Even if the Maf is on the wrong way round it can cause the CEL to come on. Did you clean the MAF when you installed it also ? I have an AEM CAI on mine and not had any problems!
  7. this is the one I got http://www.lightinth...er_p239673.html Where abouts are you down my way on the 16th Anni ? I might be able to pop out quick! Sure the GF and family wont mind lol.
  8. Haha, I read this topic as it was showing as 'Hot' all I found was
  9. Depends what time we set off really :S, guess we should wait for an official thread
  10. I think its funny its taken the pair of us this long to figure it out.. what 2 days ? haha!
  11. Or, hopefully we can just drive through France in the daytime! Been worrying about it this whole time and then realised its the first part of the trip lol.
  12. Its worth getting a reading, if its coming on and then going off again it sounds like possibly a sensor issue, but without a code reading you will never know :S Do you have an OBD2 code reader ?? I would motor down with mine but I am flat out busy now until after xmas :/
  13. I demand you are banned from the forum and sacked from the BBC haha!
  14. Hopefully with the nurbergring trip comming up next year I have been doing abit of research on driving laws in various countries but cannot find anything on HID's (I am at work also so some of the sites are blocked) I know in this country the HID laws right now are ropey, and none us truely know if we will get busted or fail MOT's for them, however, how do the French react to these ? I really dont want to have to remove them unless I have too, I love my HID's soo much!
  15. ODB2 - Scoobie world do a cracking handset for 50 bucks http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=280&products_id=1831 Oh, wait they bumped the price up :/ I have that one though and got it for 50 quid a couple of months ago.
  16. Same, I dont think I could ever go back to standard bulbs, only thing that lets the Gen7 down on the test is that we dont have self cleaning jets for the headlights. DVLA are almost as annoying as health and safety with their perdantic rules. What about the cars that are comming out of factory with them fitted but dont have the self cleaning options though ? It does mention if they have self adjustment, and a projector style headlamp it will be ok .... According to some MOT sites, aslong as they have the same beam pattern, do not show too much blue, and are adjusted as to not dazzle drivers they can be passed... Another site suggests cars that have been lowered will also get a bonus towards the passmark as your less likely to dazzle someone providing the HID's are setup correctly. Apparently they want to faze out VOSA aswell, which only means it will go to the government.... either that or no VOSA = Mad Max lol
  17. What a load of crap, I hate the DVLA, must have self cleaning..... these rules must be produce by someone farting lol. Guess ill be paying my mot man a little extra to put me through, failing that Ill just pop the standards in for the MOT and put the HID's in after...
  18. Happy Anniversary RoryK!

  19. I need a new lance, but as grey said, its brilliant for this time of year, layer foam, leave, jet wash off, job done. I also clean 2 x a week normally, driving down lanes to get to work and all the salt and road grease is not good
  20. No thats the Cupra R, sorry looking back at what I wrote it sounds like I am saying its my mate and his s14 lol. may have confused it. Thats not my mate, nor his S14 lol.
