  1. I went from a 318 to a gen 7 I won't be going back, 325/3 maybe, 318 never!
  2. Good effort! I used the Polish to clean mine a bit this weekend,
  3. Neither with an 03 plate though :xmas_laugh:
  4. Some times nothing in a week but average 6k a year (115/week)
  5. I think across the entire EU the penalty for HID's is to be taken out and shot in front of your family.
  6. What he said. The insertable bit is replacable rather than the whole panel. I got a new one for mine... back in the day
  7. Me too, the selection of transport can be highly indicitive of the users mentality.
  8. Yes without a doubt a sweeping generalisation. However I do get jarred off with the MC lobby constantly criticising the motorist. In London I get cut up by motorbikes more than cars, there are a hell of a lot more cars on the road than bikes. Where I live we have some lovely fast roads over Salisbury Plain, apparently riding at 130 plus... plus plus is entirely acceptable. In my experience there are a higher proportion of nutters amongst bikers than other road users. If riding a bike is as dangerous as the MC lobby would have us believe perhaps a few more bikers should take a little more care before delivering lectures to the rest of us. I actually cut bikers lot's of slack because I know if they get killed or injured anywhere near me it will be my fault regardless.
  9. Spend all their time riding like knobs and accusing drivers of not making enough allowance for their stupid excesses!
  10. "Reserve not met" Shocker Who would have thought it?
  11. Depending on your screen resolution it's about 8mm from "the truth"
  12. Biofuels aren't used to save oil per se, it's simply that to replace biofuel you drag CO2 out of the atmosphere (carbon neutral) whereas crude doesn't afford that luxury. And you don't need new cars to run from biofuel, Old chipfat is biofuel, and there are some clapped out old taxi's running on that. Wood is Biofuel and you can run 19th century steam trains on that.
  13. What he said. I kept a spreadsheet for a year on my 140 fuel consumptiion. Pretty much a consisitent 36mpg no matter what fuel was used. As for all the good the additives do, well in over a million miles of majoring on supermarket swill I am yet to have a fuel related issue with a car. However if you feel better it's worth the money.
  14. I believe the copyright belongs to Stephen Grant, so PM him. Oooh bloody hell.. an echo
  15. Cruising? Sounds a bit like "Cottaging" to me. If all done properly that's a good price
  16. You're reading this completely wrong. The Gen 7 was introduced on a V plate about 1999. In about 2002 they redesigned the car using the same bodyshell. Quite a few minor changes. I had a Gen 7 pre facelift (2001 on a 51 plate). I then sold it and bought a Gen 5 facelift (1994 on an L plate). The Gen 7 was facelifted from 52 plate onward. You can do a few mods to make you're car look like a facelift but ultimately it's either a facelift or it's not.
  17. Well it's not a question of good thing or not, one is simply a slightly later version. I had a pre facelift and changed it for a facelift, the pre facelift was Gen 7 and the facelift was a Gen 5, so definite improvement
  18. The Gen 7 on your Avatar appears to be pre-facelift as it has the original nose.
  19. Hiya Tabs... I hadn't noticed you'd gone
