Very interesting how the smaller end plates create more drag than the larger! I'm going for the larger style ones then and will prob shape them much luck the ones you've modelled!

BUT how does that compare to smaller end plates? I.e is the massive lower part of the end plate necessary? I guess you need to see airflow from the car to answer this?

I'd like some fuel hose from my filler on my boot fuel tank to the flush filler on the outside (approx 30cm) and it seems easier to have 1 bendy 52mm ID marine fuel pipe than some 'proper' silicone fuel hose and joiners and angles needed etc as I can't see any with a bit of bendyness
I'm pretty sure the difference is to do with pressure and that marine engines aren't pressurised fuel tanks so pipe doesn't need testing under this circumstance. Whereas car fuel tank is pressurised.

Guys, can marine fuel hose be used on a car? Just from the filler to the filler neck.

Jamie but is that not because your running without end plates and so the air gets lost over the edges and doesn't 'push' down as it will take the easiest route. In the centre of the spoiler it doesn't really have this choice....

Just because the rear wheels aren't driving, doesn't mean you don't want them to grip! A fwd car CAN oversteer, trust me

Ray, I have the same battery mate and mine has lasted 3 years so far!! My car stands still most of its life! But then it doesn't power hardly any electronics like yours would so it oes to show the draw the standard car pulls off the battery when standing!!!

Scott thanks for the offer but that's the problem, the car isn't drivable until the welding is done
TBH I know someone with a portable welder, it's not a beast but should be fine for welding 2mm sheet so I'm guna give it a go. I have welded before when I was about 17 on a work placement and I did my seat runners which are still going so it shouldn't be beyond me, I'm just crap at setting the thing up lol!!! -

I need someone competent with welding who owns a portable welder to help weld a steel box into a cutout in my boot which will eventually hold a ful tank.
A pro mobile welder quoted £250 which is extortionate considering its about 2 hours work!!!

File them, put some grease on them and then pull them through with the method you currently been doing. Found mine easy when I greased them

I got some rays engineering alloys that are ultra rare and the lightest I could find/afford 17x8 wheels @ just less than 8kg each

Thanks Alan that's pretty much the answer I was looking for. The hose I bought is ok for unleaded so should be fine.
