Thanks Alan that's pretty much the answer I was looking for. The hose I bought is ok for unleaded so should be fine.

Very interesting how the smaller end plates create more drag than the larger! I'm going for the larger style ones then and will prob shape them much luck the ones you've modelled!

BUT how does that compare to smaller end plates? I.e is the massive lower part of the end plate necessary? I guess you need to see airflow from the car to answer this?

I'd like some fuel hose from my filler on my boot fuel tank to the flush filler on the outside (approx 30cm) and it seems easier to have 1 bendy 52mm ID marine fuel pipe than some 'proper' silicone fuel hose and joiners and angles needed etc as I can't see any with a bit of bendyness I'm pretty sure the difference is to do with pressure and that marine engines aren't pressurised fuel tanks so pipe doesn't need testing under this circumstance. Whereas car fuel tank is pressurised.

Guys, can marine fuel hose be used on a car? Just from the filler to the filler neck. Thanks

Jamie but is that not because your running without end plates and so the air gets lost over the edges and doesn't 'push' down as it will take the easiest route. In the centre of the spoiler it doesn't really have this choice....

Just because the rear wheels aren't driving, doesn't mean you don't want them to grip! A fwd car CAN oversteer, trust me
