  1. Shame because other than the nose and the seats, its a nice motor!
  2. Isn't it just a Schreader valve with a cap with 'L' written on it? Or am I thinking of my old Peugeot 306?
  3. Very good angus, it does sound like it could be a drummer, it's never in time with the music! No, car isn't lowered and I'll check the strut mounts in a bit, got some more painting to do under the bonnet so I'll check then.
  4. Can anyone tell me what would cause a clunking/knocking noise from the front passenger side wheel when going over bumps please? Cheers Dave
  5. Agreed, they will probably look at it, pretend they did it but in reality they don't know what air con is. Probably think it means charging someone to breathe.
  6. How long has it been empty, I know if you leave it too long it can damage the compressor. The gas is like its lubricant, but they can check it for you. I'm sure someone will be along soon with a recommendation! (Sorry, I'm not in your area.)
  7. Just found this gen 7 140 on ebay and that seems very ambitious to me, no wonder it has been reduced. Also, is that front bumper a different shade of blue? Pricey gen 7
  8. So it is Sam. Wish her a happy birthday from me. lol. Oh, and congrats on getting your full membership. Pack will be in the post soon no doubt so don't forget to post pics of the best mod any one on here can have...... the club stickers.
  9. They seem pretty decent mate. I wouldn't like to say for sure but if there is gonna be a difference it may be less bogging, better responsiveness, possible increase in power but it will be barely noticeable. are you changing you're air filter too?
  10. Thats no problem mate, yeh let me know. Which NGK's did you buy? You probably won't notice a huge amount unless they haven't been changed in ages. But it may surprise you. When I put my iridium NGK's in I noticed an improvement because I hadn't changed them in 2 years and they were getting old.
  11. No they are easy mate, just undo the 10mm bolt and gently pull, if I remember rightly you may have to hold something out of the way while you undo one of them but I can't rememeber which. (you'll understand when you see it) Here's a pic, the coil packs are the little black square bits running through the middle of the engine. HTH Hope it goes well. Dave
  12. Yeh straight forward job. Remove 10mm bolts and clips from plastic rocker cover. Unplug connection to each coilpack and undo 10mm bolt holding coilpack in and pull from end of spark plug. Use spark plug socket and long extension and ratchet to undo and carefully remove plug and be careful not to drop anything into the hole. When re-installing plugs be very careful not to cross thread them. Refitting is reversal of removal. HTH Dave
  13. Actually mate, I saw one for sale, didn't catch the reg but it was a facelift. In the little texaco garage on the A370 in congresbury, next to the old Cromwells pub up at £1850. I was a GT in that metallic burnt orange colour. Looked pretty sweet from the road.
  14. Very odd, never seen that spoiler before. Plus no splitter and has TTE wheels Shouldn't they be the bronze ones if they were original? Thats a strange one.
  15. Funny that shadow, 3 and a half years and 40k of ownership and I haven't needed any spare parts yet.
  16. Hey dude, so sad to hear. Hope the search goes well and you get what you want!!
  17. I messaged the guy asking if they are MR2 parts, waiting for the reply.
  18. Just came upon this ebay listing and if Im not mistaken, those are from an MR2 rev 1?? Link
  19. Car is looking sweet mate, especially now you have the skirts on. Agree with Mick, wheels and drop. Beauty mate!
  20. Yeh thats sort of what I was thinking already Andy, just needed someone else to say what I was thinking. Cheers mate.
  21. Hey, I've been talking about this in the gen 7 forum but thought here it would get more views. I have just changed my rad and just before it let go of the coolant, the blowers were only blowing cold, then suddenly went hot. This to me suggests sticking thermostat. I have the old one out and had it in a pan on the hob and it has open and closed smoothly 3 times. What I want to know is, should I change it anyway as it is out or do you guys think it is ok? Bearing in mind that the top plate has a little surface rust on it but the pin it slides on is totally clean and shiny. All help much appreciated.
