My apologies..I wasn't referring to hot hatches as competition, although of course they are, and really should have been a bit more specific. What I meant was, most new car buyers will buy a coupe because it's a new model, and fashionable to be seen driving a new shape version. Once that shape has been around for two or three years, the same new coupe buyers are then in the market for something only recently made available.

Coupes are about fashion. I would expect to see the same drop off in sales figures for similar coupe models from other manufacturers for that reason alone.

You have the Corolla engine in your GT, Gary..and please see below for a list of the differences..

You can just fit a 140 box

THIS^ Not sure why anyone would buy a 140 now when a 190 is about the same price.
Most drivers like a top gear for cruising on dual carriageway/motorway.

Assuming yours is a pre face lift..yes

The TTE "Grandstand" alloy wheel is one type I've never come across, so I'm unsure if they take flat, or tapered nuts.
As it's crucial the correct nuts are fitted, I strongly recommend you phone Toyota in Sheffield quoting one of the two different part numbers in the link below, for a definitive answer..

Do they play for Bayer Leverkusen?

What's your point, sly?.

I was tempted by Tyreleader, Amit..but reading some their reviews put me off.

The three sites I use to compare prices are Amazon, Camskill, and Pneus.

Use an extendable wheel wrench, and you can tell when the nuts are tight enough. Absolutely no need to measure Nm.

My 2004 140 takes exactly four litres when changing oil and filter.

Spotted this relatively rare example while browsing what's on sale locally.
Looks to be in good condition, with only the H/U changed.
Priced about right IMO, and for anyone that isn't aware, the only one of the four colours that came with the electric sunroof.

Hi all,
Sorry to ask a silly question, ive had a quick search but can't find what I want.
my confusion comes from online converters saying to match my current wheels I need 205/40/r17. Which is the standard for these wheels? Does it matter?
Thanks.
Which online converter is that?..because it's wrong.
205/45/17 is much closer to 205/50/16 than 205/40/17.
Fitting 205/40/17 will be like losing 6th gear on the dual carriageway/motorway.
215/45/17 has three slight benefits and one slight downside.
Fills the arches slightly better
Slightly more rim protection
Slightly better ride
Slightly slower acceleration

I'm pretty sure it was a missprice & people have started getting cancellation emails
As the saying goes "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
Exactly, but it took mytyres much longer than it should to amend their error.

IF the nuts with the rims do turn out to be alloy rather than steel, just go steady when tightening them up, and check they're still tight after 100 miles or so.
As you say, best to wait and see what arrives

Had a look on another alloy web site (Demon Tweeks) as I was trying to find out what size nuts I needed and if they are flat end or tapered like my stock ones, and they are also saying
Wheel nuts/bolts
Going from running steel wheels to a set of alloys? You’re going to need new wheel bolts/nuts then (depending on what your car has fitted)! The type of fixings you use on steel wheels are not suitable for use with alloy wheels – because they’re much harder. This means that they can eventually chew through the bit of the alloy responsible for holding them to your hubs!
Didn't think wheel nuts are so complicated. I think I need M12x1.5 ? but I haven't found the lug diameter of the bolas yet. I think I will have to wait until they turn up. shame I can't use my stock ones they lasted 16 years and still perfect condition.
Yes..it's M12 x 1.5, as per my link

I have bought many sets of new rims over the last few years, and have never had alloy nuts supplied with them. They have all had this type of steel nut with the relevant spigot rings.
That is, of course, unless your new rims have small lug holes, and need the smaller "tuner" nuts.

DOT4 was a tad over £2 for 500ml with the discount code at ECP the other day. For some strange reason it's cheaper to buy in that size bottle.
I would have thought one litre should be sufficient.

I was tempted yesterday, but have enough engine oil to last two years at the moment
Four 500ml bottles of DOT4 worked out at a smidgen over £8 delivered using the VOUCHERBOX22 code.

LTT in Harrogate will also be happy to give you expert advice.

I have a brochure with nine different shades of leather for the Gen 7.
I can't make out whether the colour used in the "Blue" is Sky, or Regal.
Sky = GP63
Regal = 5458

Don't do it, mate. That combination is bordering on dangerous.
A 6.5J rim takes a 195 width tyre, and a 35 profile has very little sidewall to flex when fitted to a rim that is either too wide, or too narrow in your case.
The answer to your question is most definitely..yes.
