There's nothing quite as satisfying as setting your own stamp on the thing you probably spend most of the time looking at

Wheels can (and very often do) buckle. I'd get them checked over to make sure one isn't slightly oval. It would appear you've done the rest.

@ Gimba.

Sorry to hear the sad news. It sucks that you have to suffer for someone else's inability to drive or concentrate. I've had it happen 2 or 3 times in the past and it never gets any easier to swallow! Hope someeone saw something or that you ctach a break and someone reports it or whatever.

As has been relayed by many others Becci it's astonishing to think it's been a year already. He was, is and always will be, considered a true legend on this forum and many others. He touched a great many people and I'm sure that everyone that ever had dealings with him will always remember him fondly. The world is a poorer place without him but I'll wager that right now heaven is rocking a wicked new JDM retro look

What's wrong with the original hoses? I'd say around £100 is about the right price for a rad and they can be got from eBay pretty easily. If you do need hoses then the silicon ones will be as cheap as the OEM ones from Toyota most likely lol.

Always good to see feedback whichever way. Not many people with negatives about Taras and Ray mind looks like good work. Can't wait until my old jalopy gets a makeover.

Another +1 for Paisley Freight, very happy with the serrvice they've given me for numerous bits and pieces.

Mine went straight in, you just need a simple socket set and I'd have no reservations about recommending them (as I did to J03) as they were really straight forward. No special tools, no press, no grinding or drilling.

Hmm Varis kit, looks aiight

They are going to look small when you put them on. I ran with 215/40/17s for a while and hated them, these will look a tiny bit smaller still. It's a good price but just be aware that they might not be the most comfortable or best looking under the arches

It does kind of go with the territory, it's a sporty looking car but not the most powerful so a lot of folk see it as relatively easy pickings. That's not to say they always win mind But if you were driving in quite a 'spirited' fashion showing your mate lift etc then maybe the Type R just thought you were up for a race and fancied a go... Who knows, maybe he was showing his mate vtec kicking in yo!

They are gorgeous and if they blunt acceleration a tad it seems a small price to pay!

Many happy returns to Celica-Club.co.uk and congratulations on making it to a 10th anniversary. The fact that some of the original members are still around speaks volumes as does the number of people that drift off but manage to find their way back It's a great club and long may it continue!

That space/time continuum thing always baffled me!

Countdown says it's tomorrow for the 10th anniversary
Well done on keeping this place active for 10 years, it's a huge credit to you and the rest of the management and to the members as well. Long may it continue!

Go on, make me feel even more ashamed... Props to the guys who've got off their arses and done it, even in our cold climate. I can barely bring myself to do it in the middle of summer lol.

More one for General Discussion this, so I've moved it over.

+1 for Hammerite, if you prep the calipers properly and make sure they are oil and grease free, give them liberal coats and allow them to dry properly then Hammerite will give a good long-lasting tough finish that'll last for years. Cheaper than VHT paint too

Sad to see it off to be crushed

J03/Adex. Come on guys, I'm sure we can agree to disagree with each others taste in cars and mods without resorting to behaving like saxo owners club members.
-
Definitely needs washers. I'd personally drill them both out and pop a proper nut and bolt through each side.

Such a shame to be forced intot his position. Selling up is rarely easy but when your hand is being forced it must suck. I hope you fetch a decent price for the car and things turn around for the better for ya. Great looking car too

That's a proper milestone achievement. You sure it's not actually a lot longer though, you say 'young' Njay was there lol... Bolney was coincidentally my first ever meet but not until 2004. 10 years has seen a lot of change but you're right it's still friendly at heart and I hope we'll be celebrating many anniversaries to come!
