Not sure. Wasn't fitted to pre-facelift cars though if that helps lol
-
There were plenty of T-Sports sold from 03-05, you need to keep looking
-
I had mine fitted by Lee so he could take pictures for you guys... Now that's the way to do it
I do agree though, cable ties, tape, couple of spanners or pipe wrench, philips and flathead driver are all essential. you never know when you might just wish you had one or all of them!
-
I can't really remember TBH but I'm looking forward to re-acquainting myself with the old girl.

Hi Booth,
Ive Just bought a gen 7 GT and am also looking for some seat covers, front and rear, if you see any at a reasonable price let me know. ill do the same.
on another note do you know how to change the display name on here :s
You'll need to contact Nemesis on the management team for a change of username Ross.

Viet had a set of Toyota seat covers up for sale lately Booth, not sur eif they sold or not. But Mr T must sell them, if not eBay will be your best bet for something generic. Alcantara always looks nice but the bobbling and wear is an issue.

106k before mine had anything significant done.
-
Most aftermarket wheels have a 60degree tapered seat for the nuts so those SHOULD be fine for you.

Shiply have been very good for me in the past, used them to move my car a few times now, never had any issues. On a side note, I hope the car isn't going to an engine recon place to have a recon lump put in it... Mine went to a garage in Brum and the lump they supplied was an absolute bag of sh*t. Really poor. Just worth a check...

I think the 1zz takes 4.2 litres so in theory you had just under 2litres left. Not brilliant, but worlds apart from having next to nothing in there! I think you'll be ok matey, just drop what's in there at the mo, check it for any debris & do a full oil & filter change.
Pretty sound advice. It's got to be worth checking for peace of mind. Oil and filter change is more than achievable yourself with basic tools and you'll have a chance to gauge what's going on with the oil. Hoepfully no damage done but better safe than sorry.
-
Glad the car got through but I suggest that you find a new place before 2013 lol Great to see you back fella.
-
Resale value of these cars when supercharged probably stays the same as stock but the market is much smaller. Don't even think about doing it if the cash is an issue. Personally I'd suggest you put 11000-11500 in the search bar of Pistonheads and see what takes your fancy. There's a lot of performance out there for that kind of dosh.
FWIW the S/C Celica never feels over-powered. It's not completely mental and traction is pretty impressive considering, that's coming from someone who has had plenty of experience with a fair bit more than 300+ bhp at the front wheels of his Celica.
-
Seriously bad news. The car is a real mess and that's a terrible waste of a damn nice Celica. Stupid van driving tw*t!
Glad you've escaped relatively injury free though, leave it to insurance to sort now, hope they make you a sensible offer.
-
Make sure to disconnect the neg terminal from the battery at least 10 mins before tackling the airbag connectors. You do NOT want to be setting those little bleeders off!
-
I've always found the Celica C60 box to be pretty notchy but have no real issues with the action. Yes a shortshifter will make life tougher on selecting gears but with a little lithium grease on the cup and ball connections in the shifter and a change of gearbox oil may be all you need to sort your issues out. Personally I've had a positive reaction to my shortshifter and brass bushes but not sure how much improvement to attribute to what parts Hope you get it sorted because little niggly probs are a PITA!

One of our very own corporate members did my rear three for a very reasonable sum at a show last year. Very much getting someone with skill to do it as he made a blinding job of it and I didn't have any stress!
Kar1 @ K-Tintz, take a bow

Handy that as I have an exhaust to pack up and ship for a member I'll pass it on.
-
Nice pics. Car looks nice bud.
-
Sad times indeed
-
Don't worry dude, I've got the exhaust and I too am off up to Santa Pod on Sunday Sadly James isn't around to collect it. He's off galavanting lol. I'm going to have to post it to him at some point. Unless a local member to him can collect it on Sunday? Anyone from Northampton going to Fast Show? Might be eaiser for them to hold on to it for him and he can pick it up locally, save a few quid on posting it

- Do your homework! Make sure you're legal to drive in all of the countries you pass through in Europe, warning triangles, first aid kits, hi-viz clothing, the whole nine yards.
- Try to get low-cost cover specifically for the 'Ring. Most insurers have that well bypassed in their policies. Double-check cos it can be expensive to get wrong.
- Change or top-up all fluids (change oil, top up coolant and screenwash and replace brake fluid with Dot4 or Dot5.1)
- Clean/Replace air filter
- Clean MAF (reset ECU afterwards)
- Check plugs
- Check/replace pads. Go for a fast road pad such as RedStuff or Yellowstuff.
- Make sure the car is free from squeaks and rattles. Check suspension and chassis components where possible for wear and tear.
- Tyres, make sure you have plenty of grip. Get good tyres if yours are crap. It's hard work on the rubber.
- Get some laps in on Forza or GT5 (Seriously! The main reason people have accidents there is lak of track knowledge!!)
- When going out on track make sure you have nothing ratlling round in the boot or footwells etc.
- Make sure to have spare oil, coolant and even brakefluid just in case.
- Make sure you have locking wheelnut key incase you need ot do any maintenance.
- Have a reasonable selection of tools between you. Roadside fixing of cars is easier with the tools to do it!
- Take it easy and build up speed over a number of laps. There's no shame in getting overtaken, it costs less than an accident too!!!!
Just be sensible. It's as safe or as dangerous as you make it for yourself. In truth you will feel a little intimidated by it, naturally, and not knowing the track is going to be the biggest factor in how much fun you have or how likely you are to have an off. Some fast fast corners are followed by blind bends or tricky turns so don't give it 10/10ths until you KNOW what's around the corner or at the top of the next straight!
Even the pro's get it wrong, so be careful... http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=25392&utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=Social%2B&utm_campaign=Liam%2BDoran

Not that I'm aware of, the people doing the work will have to colour match as best they can.
