cant be defective if its not there. Not all cars come with cleaning for HIDs so is not a requirement. Your MOT test station are wrong

They've been off the car for about 10 months so will be nice to get them back in
(It only took mondo a few days to sort but it was me getting them sorted that took the time lol)

The person asking the question isn't necessarily refering to a 7, early 7's and imports dont all have the alarms, and aftermarket alarms are sweet. Had a clifford concept 650 on my last celica and could remote start it in the house on cold mornings so that it would warm up and defrost the windows before I even had to go and get in it
-
Looking forward to this!
-
Oh, not G7 then - maybe I need to got off my arse, get mine out and measure them up for making a new set myself...
**edit Oh wait - 2000 and up Celica GT... is that the 140 as well then or is the GT box different?
Message se7en motorsports. He sells them
well it didnt come in the post, i took a 200 mile drive to pick them up (which means post would probably have worked out cheaper ) but got these back
I've done that trip at least 10 times!
Happy with them? Looking forward to seeing them on the car!

Check this out..... Funny thing is that it is my rear quarter, seems to be a poplar area on the gen 7 lol
I don't even get mad at this stuff anymore, I guess if you have a nice motor that you keep on public roads expect this, It seems to with the territory
To avoid don't clean the car and leave it looking like crap to avoid attention
For some that isn't an option...
Tbh I'm quite lucky my car has escaped untouched. But. I'd be so annoyed if it happened. I park as far away from people as I can

I used cheap ebay aero wipers once too.....
Ripped them off after a couple of weeks.
PIAA wipers, expensive but the ones I've been using are incredible and been on over a year now. Highly recomend them!
Certainly would not switch to the cheaper ebay ones again.......

I'm goign to be buying a DA polisher in the next 3-4 weeks if you ever need to borrow it
-
I think they run similar things on rally cars so guessing very little impact on overall performance. Let's be honest, a cai does very little for performance anyway so this won't matter.
-
Really if you're thinking of one of these I'd recomend getting a hydrosock and probably a intake shield
-
I used to have a clifford concept 650 - good alarm with loads of features. Can even add in a remote start option!
-
Let me know if you want them collecting on sunday. Hopefully the car will be back in operation by then so will be good to go!
-
If you can get em there quick I'll be collecting my bumper next Sunday
Repainted and sorted haha
-
No worries dude just thought it may have saved half the postage or even all of it if you PayPald him the money as I'll be collecting my bumper in a week or two if you want them picking up
Saves the postage, chances of getting damaged, and incase you where thinking of collecting a 110 mile trip lol
-
I beleive it. With about 8 known shades of thunder grey it's easy to see why!
Back to stuart today to drop it back off. 220 mile this weekend collecting and dropping off parts
-
I'm just going to wrap it in blankets and pillows and make it cozy in the back of the car. Then drive like a granny and wear cotton wool gloves while I fit it lol
-
Spoke to the local chips away guy. He reckons he can do it but it won't be invisible. And the price he's asking for it is the same as stuart wants to paint the whole bumper.
110 mile round trip there and back tomorrow it is then!
Full respray for the second time and it hasn't even been on the car
I also have 2 litres of paint matched to my car kept in a suitable location as a "just incase" for paint hahaha
Will be a couple more weeks before the back end is sorted but at least I'll have a new bonnet on the car soon.
-
Ok.
So just got my rear bumper back from stuart, with trd lip fitted and new bonnet. All freshly painted.
Looks like I've chipped it in transit. Can anyone tell me if they think this can be fixed or do I just take the bumper back to stuart to get resprayed again....
I'm gutted. All this time and I've damaged it in moving it to mine

It's changed now as this will be possibly the last batch he gets of them. He had a supplier that was going to supply them from america but things didnt quite go as planned and he didnt think he would get them, this was last year I beleive. He's just had contact that they are getting sent (and I had mine sent direct from america). The price is about £55 now for them though for a full set and the thread dressing.
Pricy but worth it IMO.

Halos just make the engine feel much smoother, they seem to be really good plugs for NA engines.
Check out the feedback here....

No reason why it should fail. MOT guidlines are worded....
Vehicles equipped with High Intensity Discharge (HID) or LED dipped beam headlamps MAY be fitted with headlamp washers and a suspension or headlamp self levelling system. Where such systems are fitted, they must work
It's not NEEDED, but if its there it must work

Mine went through with aftermarket HIDS ok
HID Headlights - Everything you need to know // Legalities of HID's covered.
in Consumable Parts

the same goes for none aftermarket hids as well. They are not a requirement to have fitted, but are required to be working if are. Thats it
