  1. I'd just like to add.... Mine is NOT or going to be, up sale!
  2. Just type in supercharge under the celica option in advanced search
  3. Just seen it too Well they're not cheap to run once they've had the Se7en treatment.
  4. Lets say a can costs £20. As its meant to last 10k miles, lets say that is 12 months driving. It's only £1.67 a month, so not a waste of money. It might give some gains, it might not (depending on how effecient your engine is). But at the end of the day, having a engine engine is never a bad thing in my view.
  5. I check mine hot & cold. As I'm not running a baffled sump, I make sure that the oil level is at the max marker when its hot/warm. So if its max when cold, its lost some oil! Like Zorg, I like to play it safe!
  6. Well I have thought of something to do, but it's going to take a little time to plan & sort out. I'm keeping it all hush hush & to be honest once its done, no one will know what's been done unless I point it out!
  7. Yeah I remember. I did think at the time "that was a bit random!"
  8. I did get Brendan's point, but I'm looking at least 2 years to save JUST for the coilovers. That's not even including the tyres! So I'm looking for nice mods that will just improve things. As I'm not after anything performance based, so any mods shouldn't be that expensive. If I don't get the coilovers, it will save me loads in the future! Less track time, less replacement tyres, less fuel, less servicing, less new brakes.
  9. I'm hoping to save at the same time as doing other mods. It's not just a case of getting the coilovers, as the reason for them is so that I can push the car on the track. So getting the coilovers, also means getting: Decent Track Tyres & new wheel spacers.
  10. I've come to the point where I'm not sure what to do to the car now. I'm not looking for anymore power mods as I don't really need them. Coilovers are on my list, but not for a while. I'm think some decals on the car, but not sure what/where. Some Supercharged decals would be good, but I can't decide on a design. So peeps, any suggestions on what mods I could do and can be anything?
  11. Well hopefully there will be a feature on Se7en, that way we can get all the Supercharged 7's in!
  12. Who was that through? It should be in the region of the 190 quote.
  13. It depends on the garage I think. Plus laser alignment can mean different things. In the passed I've asked for the tracking to be down & they've said they do a 4 wheel alignment. Basically they make sure all 4 wheel point straight. This is in all garages that offer alignment. However a 4 wheel laser alignment could also mean a full geometry check, but this is more specialist places.
  14. No my guy completely removed the driveshaft. All the bolts for the manifold can be reached without removing anything on the engine to make room.
  15. I'm running the OBX version on my 190SC engine. It is larger than stock and seems to flow nicely, though is thinning that a custom manifold. OBX offer a lifetime guarantee, so if it cracks they have to replace it. They're not too hard to fit either. The old one can be removed easily if you remove the driveshaft first, as it only takes a couple of hours to change over that way. It's handy having a mate who is a mechanic! Try this link - Celica GT manifold link
  16. Sadly I can't in most gears, as if I do it means I'm hitting over 3 figures probably on the speedo! 7k is the limit I'd say for mine.
  17. I think it was 100ml, as I didn't want to mess around measuring out the other 25/35ml, as you need to do it from a glass measuring cup/jug. If you do it in a plastic one, it'll etch it on contact
  18. Mixing actone in standard Shell = V-power (pretty much producing the same results as plain V-power tests) Mixing acetone in V-Power = slightly better gains, but nothing worth the money. I found my old write up!!! edwardio Acetone tests
  19. Basically mixing PURE acetone with petrol allows it to burn better and therefore, more of it actually ignites during combustion. This gives more performance & better mpg. Plus it helps clean the engine. The down sides are that it eats cheap plastic & rubber. Although Mr.T uses good stuff, you can't be certain. You CANNOT get this on your paintwork as it WILL strip it! Plus you must get the mix right. I think it's 2.5ml per 1ltr of fuel. Over that & it doesn't work, under & you don't see the full benefit. You'd be better off just using a good Super Unleaded.
  20. I regas my own from the cans you can buy in halfords.
  21. Acetone does the job, but the cost mounts up & the worry of seals etc failing! Their write up was good & done in the road, not like the fuel silliness who probably did it in a lab. Though to fully test it all needs various makes, models, engines & years. It's just like fuel cleaners (redex, stp etc), they do work to different degrees, but not enough to really offset the cost of regular cost.
  22. Interesting reading, though a little flawed. Not every fuel supplier was tested & only 1 car in each class. I did tests in my 140, comparing Shell Unleaded, V-Power & a mix of Acetone in both. It turned out V-power produced a 10% increase over standard fuel. An acetone mix was better in both fuels, but V-Power was the best cost effective option. Super fuels do not need to be as much as they are though.
  23. >£13k, again not including the cost of the car, which was £10k in 2005.
  24. Problem sorted! Spacers removed & the rims fit nicely over the Wilwood's with just a little room to spare. So the spacers will need to be fitted when I go on the track!
