  1. Really sorry to hear this Fab, mate. I hope you make a recovery and can get behind the wheel again.

Staffordshire's a bit out the way as I'm in London but I'm sure Sawyer or someone else will come to the rescue.

As ORC has said, driving someone elses car requires them to be insured on it AND your own policy allowing you to drive cars of same or larger sized engines. A quick phone call to both insurers should be fine.

If you can't drive any time soon, it might be worth thinking about selling the car to someone who's willing to sell it back to you for the same price...will keep it active and it'll likely be someone who'll care for it properly.

    All the best fella

  2. Halfords pro stuff is very very good, I've had my kit for over a year now and the only bit that has got any damage on it is one of the hex bits....but I was BRUTALLY rough with it...and it doesn't matter as you get a life time guarantee to replace any bits that break. So I'd go down that route and save yerself a few quid :)

  3. I wash mine AT LEAST once a week in all weathers haha. Can't bare for the car to be dirtier than it needs to be. During my housing woes I didn't clean it for two weeks and it made me lump up everytime I looked at it...looked so dull and lifeless. Now I've got a hosepipe and an outside tap n everythin' :) I've got a snowfoam lance...no idea what model, bought it off harwood and it's collected dust so far...do they have to be used with a jetwasher to foam up enough or is a normal hose good enough? The pressures not all that amazing on my water flow you see.

  4. dont quite agree , sort of do

the mot is just a bit of interior , now a type s ...... now were cooking , not easy to find though

as for celicas , i wouldnt call them expensive to run whatsoever , id concider them cheap , my hiace kills 75 quids worth of dirty diesel in 266 miles , thats not a 1 off , thats every time , and thats me driving like grandma would be proud to get that although if you do wheelspin it everywhere then it makes no difference on the fuel , as for repairs id say there shit cheap , its so easy to get hold of stuff and always at the right price , price up a 205 dizzy cap then a vaux v6 dizzy cap and you will see what i mean

    well yeah, a v6 is gonna cost more...because it's a v6.

unless you're onto the breakers on here and are mechanically capable, maintenance is expensive on them, simple as that.
