myimportedbeast
Ok so unfortunately my rear visor is almost sold, I've dun a test run and removed the brackets and it does lift a little, I can see the double sided tape and it does lift but what's a good and safe removing method so i don't scratch the boot lid or break the spoiler? V hot water. Trim removal pliers. Hair dryer. Edited November 15, 2014 by myimportedbeast
Kazi
don't use boiling water! made that mistake on my Glanza and it fucked the paint right up! I normally use a hair dryer and a lot of tar/glue remover in between.

Im not 100% sure whether you can get it all off without leaving some marks etc. fingers crossed time Cheers Jason I shall cross my fingers too and I've got some autogard scuff remover that is awesome for the residue left petrol will melt the glue and allow you to remove it with a plastic scraper Hmm will the petrol foul or even damage the paint that what worries me? Also do I need to leave the petrol to soak into the glue tape?
DD1
I would go with the hairdryer then tar remover, slow but safest way I would think
myimportedbeast
Okey doke cheers. carlasumm
the petrol shouldn't do any damage as it shouldn't need to be on there long enough to the petrol works pretty instantly normally on the glue stick the petrol into a small spray bottle so you can control better where it goes
myimportedbeast
Cool thanx I've got a hairdryer to persuade it off the car too. Be more helpful if the rain would bugger off
philkay151
If you are uncomfortable with petrol, WD40 works surprisingly well on glue.
