I'm having trouble removing the flywheel from my Beams right now. What's the best way to brace the flywheel so it doesn't move every time I try to undo the bolts? the engine is out of the car if that makes any difference.

many thanks

What i did mate was wedge a block of wood in the crank if you have the sump off works great and no damage from using wood.

This is where battery guns come in handy, they crack things off, can be a pain otherwise. I always use my small 3/8 gun for clutch plate bolts, however they are smaller and easier to crack off ;)

As said if using hand tools I would imagine another person with a bar fighting against you would be best

got it off. wedged a bit of wood between the small bolts that hold the clutch onto the flywheel. took a bit of doing but got there in the end.

cheers for the help!
